They’re working on climate time. 30 or 40 years is the smallest time scale they can imagine. Providing funding for the next 40 years would probably help them work quicker.
The rapid response team is still waiting for their rapid response to undergo the rigorous peer review process among many hundred thousands of the world’s most brilliant climate scientists. Each must painstakingly concoct peer reviewed adjusted data to run on their supercomputers. It takes time, you know, plus many billions of dollars, for all of them to reach the same predetermined conclusion.
Expect our rapid response around 2020. Being a heteronormative, gun toting denier, we suspect you are far too stupid to comprehend our incoherent rapid response anyhow!

Well since we’ve been waiting for 30+ years for climate science to come up with a theory (in the Popperian sense) I think more than 2 years for your answer is par for the course.
I hope they remeber that the earth is almost three million miles closer to the sun at this time, and therfore about 7% more intense. I guess they are puzzeling tell their puzzeler is broken.
