In 1980, President Carter refused to let American athletes compete in the Moscow Olympics, because the Russians had invaded Afghanistan. (Carter believed in collective punishment of Americans.)
The Russians gave up on Afghanistan ten years later and withdrew.
In 2001, the US invaded Afghanistan. Twelve years later we are still in Afghanistan, which Obama calls “the right war.”
At least Carter actually attempted a rescue.
Rescue was scuttled due to a sandstorm that was not forecast. Needless to say, the brass at the NWS was not pleased.

No it isn’t. It was erected in Grand Junction Colorado during Obama’s first term. Why do you lie all the time?
My mistake — I have seen signs LIKE THAT ONE for 10 years now and in both NM and CO.
No you haven’t. You are exactly what Steven said you are, a liar.
Laz the liar! We have not forgotten.
