I live about 50 miles from West. Yes. More than likely the plant was there first. It was next to the rail line because it needed the rail line to operate. The nursing home, apartment complex and school probably moved there because the land prices were lower.

Many actually think for themselves and getting some perspectives from out of the ordinary sources can help removing blinders, whether the sources provide humor, humility or expressed opinions..
Climate science hasn’t progressed at all in the past 15 years and is just getting to criegee intermediates. Do you understand the difference between our neighbor Mars (with a dead core) and our planet with a dynamic core and an ever changing magnetosphere, which encompasses our always changing troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere and four layers of ionosphere? Do you think the esteemed climatologists understand the dynamics of particle and electromagnetic interactions occurring within each layer and the ultimate effects within our troposphere? Surely you must understand that people have no idea what stimulus or stimuli cause inter-glacial periods to end or begin, much less the drivers of planetary core changes and climate variations.
Anyone who goes ape shit, spreading fear and loathing of a trace gas that supports life and attempts to spin the planet as having a nominal temperature, has something other than science on their minds…
I do have science in mind, thank you for giving me credit for that. And science has evolved for many years, in spite of people thinking ‘for themselves’. I do not think that I am going ‘ape shit’, nor spreading fear and loathing. You, however, seem to want people to be complacent. Like the tobacco industry wanted people to be complacent about lung cancer. Not everyone gets lung cancer. That is a fact. But you want to ignore the problem since it has not been “proven”. Well, lung cancer isn’t necessarily caused by smoking, but I think that the ‘science’ establishes that lung cancer is ‘related’ to smoking, and you are a pervayor of evil. I hope you rot in hell.
Weigh the options. Weigh the opinions. My opinion is no better than anyone else’s. But, you have to weigh the real scientists. Please, weigh the evidence. Don’t be swayed by political bent.
