Piers Morgan (and the left in general) love to quote one UK crime statistic, while ignoring the fact that the UK is a much more dangerous place to live than in the US.
Americans are safer because we are armed with legal guns. Massacres invariably occur in gun-free zones.
Every massacre in the last 10 years (in America) has occurred in a gun free zone. Democrats want to make your children targets.
Yet we do not have massacres. Last school one in the UK was in 1996 which by the way was the only one in a school, previous to that Hungerford. One the other year in the Lake District. Shame it cant be said of your gun nut country with outdated gun laws that belong in a museum. No matter how you nutters try to spin it America and its outdated gun laws are a blight on humanity. A Nation that is so scared of its own shadows that they have to have guns to somehow protect themselves from those shadows. You just cant see how your all the laughing stock of the world and no wonder.
Americans are more likely to win the lottery jackpot than be in a massacre, and they invariably happen in gun free zones.
Streets in the UK are dangerous. They aren’t here. You are a joke, and an idiot for getting manipulated by the press.
Violent crime is a huge problem in the UK.
“The Cumbria shootings was a killing spree that occurred on 2 June 2010 when a lone gunman, Derrick Bird, killed 12 people and injured 11 others before killing himself in Cumbria, England. Along with the 1987 Hungerford massacre, 1989 Monkseaton shootings and the 1996 Dunblane massacre, it is one of the worst criminal acts involving firearms in British history.”

Dunblane was accomplished with handguns, and 109 rounds of ammo, proving that banning semi autos would have altered Lanza’s plan only slightly. And Cumbria proves banning handguns does not work at all.
The topic is about VIOLENT CRIME RATE not about gun crime rate which is a part of.
The chart above are based on the FBI and the UK government reports thus your reply is dead on arrival and a clear case of insane babbling. You did not even begin to counter what Steve posted because you have NOTHING to counter with.
Try reading and thinking better next time.
Not just babbling, be stupid beyond comprehension. And I might remind, that the entire European history is glimmering example of precisely why we cling to our guns. You European’s have taught us well with millions upon millions slaughtered through totalitarian genocides. You sir/madam, are an asshat of the Nth degree. Keep your European/socialist garbage the “F” out of our country. We left you for a reason!
Violent crime is a huge problem in the UK.
No it isn’t. In the same way that some areas of the US have high rates of violent crime and others, usually rural, don’t, so too some areas of the UK experience high levels. Most of these areas have much in common with US cities like Chicago, but what is true for them should not be extrapolated across the whole country. Be careful not to believe your own press Steven. As for Brits telling you how to govern your own country, they should bugger off and mind their own business. As long as you don’t come to my back-yard waving a gun about, what you do over there is entirely up to you.
I’ve lived in the UK, and the crime rate is much higher than here in 99% of the US.
Dangerous neighborhoods in the US are ones which vote more than 80% Democratic.
What part of the UK did you live in Steve? Was it an area that voted more than 80% Labour? If so it was probably more like Chicago than the rest of the US.
Parts of Bristol are off limits to sane people.
Your own government crime report differs with you.
Try reading it more often…………..
Bloke,
Your own police are lying to you…
“Statisticians say one explanation for the difference may have been pressure on the police to downgrade incidents in the face of a targets culture. The study says the police figures may overstate the actual long-term fall in crime, especially since 2006-07.”

For the most part, the US is an exceptionally safe place to live. That doesn’t suit the agenda of gun grabbers, so they lie about it like they do everything else.
And your police would never lie to you. I think for the most part, we agree on more here than we disagree. My main gripe was with Steve portraying the whole of the UK as if it was part of Bristol. This is no more accurate than claiming all the US is like Chicago.
Overall, the violent crme rate in the UK is much higher than in the US. Piers Morgan won’t discuss this fact, because it doesn’t suit his friends’ totalitarian agenda.
Trade ya Chicago for Bristol.
Now you get the picture!
Err do you?
