This is a forest
This is a forest after the fossil fuel supply gets cut off.
Fossil fuels are critical to a healthy environment.

Can you find where Haiti ends, and the Dominican Republic begins?

Well said Steve! And the pictures drive it home nicely.
This is my exact, politically incorrect, point in tons of WUWT threads …
“The climate hoaxsters all sound to me like advocates for a deep freeze and appear genuinely upset that man has adapted to the current ice age so well by putting tiny little pinpricks into the surface of the planet and recycling long buried and liquefied fossils into useful heat. The ugly “alternative” to this recycling was already used for thousands of years prior to the oil age when humans burned everything in sight on Earth’s surface, alive or dead, plant or animal, to keep warm. I think are modern way is better, both for us and for the plant and animal slaughter that has been so greatly reduced.”
For some reason Mosher and Fuller never respond to it.
The only problem with your paragraph: Fossil fuels are NOT from fossils… oil and gas were NOT created from “.. long buried and liquefied fossils …”
Well I was worried that someone was going to see that I stupidly used “are” instead of “our”! ~ashamed~
I worded it badly. But certainly long-dead plants and animals break down and the molecules ultimately wind-up in fossil fuels. That is not to say that fossil fuels are only sourced from formerly living organisms, but mostly from formerly living organisms.
Regardless, it is recycling in every sense of the word. Better to burn long-dead plants and animals than currently living ones.
And imagine what would happen to the forests if the watermelons get their energy and economy crippling agenda through AND at the same time, as Russian scientists are predicting, we soon begin a descent into a new ice age: http://notrickszone.com/2013/04/11/russian-academy-of-sciences-experts-warn-of-imminent-cold-period-global-warming-is-a-marketing-trick/
It would be an unpretty pandemonioum as forests and other low level resources are scavenged with panicked urgency.
The article adds: “The [Russians] reject the claim of global warming and call it a marketing trick.” Yes, that’s how I feel exactly. The whole thing has been little more than a marketing trick, which drew upon a bag of other tricks to “hide the declines” and accentuate the inclines and corrupt the peer review process and to unceasingly “offer up [false] scary scenarios” [Stephen Schneider] and to “undertake an aggressive program to go after those who are among the deniers” [Tim Wirth].
“We’ve got to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing …” -leftist Senator Tim Wirth, 1993
It’s a marketing trick. Fight fire with fire.
Saw that, and the good ol Monty Python scene came to mind…..”the larch”….
