Hey, the First Settlement was established at Sydney, Port Jackson in Jan 26 1788. That’s a hellava lot of environmental degradation for so few 4×4 horse buggies in that 58 years!

We all know they used fires and did burn offs to the undergrowth. So they started GW in OZ. 🙂
True. We are all amateurs compared with the Aborigines. They are credited with the extinction of the megafuana (many species) through over-use of burning.
Australian research has found new evidence that human hunters were primarily responsible for the disappearance of Australia’s giant vertebrates about 40,000 years ago, and concluded that the extinctions caused changes to the Australian landscape.
