My earlier diagnosis of a bad ink cartridge was wrong. It turns out that the printer itself was the problem, and needed repair.

Stop torturing yourself with inkjets. Get a laser printer. I bought a Brother brand color laser a few years ago. Turned out to be cheaper and a heck of lot less frustrating to operate.
You should be careful when repairing electronics on your own, you could void the warranty.
I suspect his method did void the warranty. 😉

I switched to laser printer after inkjet went. Black only toner. There’s no black only inkjet printers except fax machines?
You get much better results with .40 hollow points.

and any of the new ones that are chipped ink wise, are a supercon job.
when you buy the printer buy a chip resetter as well, that canon at least can be refilled multiple times as long as you dont let it run out the first time its low.
