Fascinating… I also came across this today…

Steve – Rush Limbaugh has been referencing some of your material lately on his show. Congrats. You should make sure he sees this letter from the Syrian parliament. Last week I believe he had a caller describe what Assad should do and basically this letter is describe verbatim of that discussion that Rush and a caller had. Basically the ageeded that the irony of saying to the world we are just as appuad at this attack and are conducting a full investigation and welcome a joint investigation to with the UN to determine exactly what happen and how these WMD got used. They even suggested that if a rogue commanded gave the order that commander would be put on leave (paid leave) while the investigation continued so that justice could be severed if it was determined that it was order but a rogue commander and that commander would be subject to the full weight and laws of the Syrian people.
This letter is amazing as it can clearly puts the US in a terrible lite if Obozo decides to take action and ignore the outreach offered by the Syrian government.
I would call this check and mate by the Syrian’s on Obama since he loves to speak of fairness and following the rule of law with through investigation like the one we are doing on the Bengazi tradegy( sarc off).
I am going through the audio’s and transcripts of his show to see if I can identify the day last week i believe this conversation occurred.
John
I don’t understand any of it and this letter confused me more. I say just let them blow each other off the map..since no one really cares anyway…or do they? Or do they pretend to?
Really? You don’t understand that the U.S. war machine is equipping and funding the al queda (sp?) fighters in Syria? You don’t understand that we are being lied to by our government? REALLY?! You need to do some research. Here is General Wesley Clark telling us about Syria, years ago….

If people would simply comprehend one truth: Al Qaeda IS (al) CIA – Duh(!!), this would make much more sense to them. But, until people see it, they are going to continue to rely on half-truths and out-right LIES.
Time to bomb Israel, before they set-off their, “Sampson Option”, and create a full-blown worldwide war (again).
Thanks for publishing this letter. People are awakening to the fact that political leaders worldwide are not acting on their behalf.
We cannot figure out their motives without factual information like this.

Well, keep in mind that these people are great at APOLOGETICS!!!
Have you ever had to deal with Middle Easterners OR Asians? Hell, they SMILE at your face nodding and saying YES,YES, we can do that all the while they deliver a garbage product.
And then have the audacity to act incensed that you are not pleased with thier crappy service.
Syrians wanted UN inspectors. Obama didn’t. One of my best friends is a Lebanese Christian.
My grandfather is Syrian. (Just found his paperwork)
Yes, I have dealt with the Chinese. But part of it is the language barrier and part of it is the cultural barrier.
American businessmen go all over the world and ordered those cheap products with low quality specifications, sometimes it’s US businessmen directly setup the production lines in other countries because they can’t do it in US to too cheap to do so. By the way, Do you know China and Middle East are very far from each other?
Have you seen Americans try to figure out thing in foreign countries? When American people don’t understand what people are talking about, they smile too.
I am curious about your education level and I suggest you take a IQ test before posting comments and humiliate yourself in public.
“Have you ever had to deal with middle Easterners OR Asians? Hell, they SMILE at your face nodding and saying YES,YES, we can do that all the while they deliver a garbage product.”
That is a pretty biased thing to say, not to mention slightly on the racist side. Singling out an entire culture based of your personal “experience” dealing with a handful(if that) is outrageously uncalled for.
“Well, keep in mind that these people are great at APOLOGETICS!!!”
Have you any knowledge of our own American history? The secrets and dark side of our government that is kept secret except to those who dedicate blood, sweat, and tears to exposing the truth? I’m assuming, based on your comment, that you’re one of those people who sit at the table in the morning, wearing a bathrobe, cup of generic coffee in hand, watching fox news or CNN for all of their information needs.
How dare you tell any of us who happen across this article to “keep in mind” a blatantly, uneducated, blind, racist opinion.
Oh, and Apologetic”S”, is not a word.
If you’re going to voice an opinion(and a dumb one at that) in relation to a serious world matter, be sure to not use words found in Urban Dictionary if you intend on your audience taking anything you say seriously.
Regards,
Vade
Well done Vade. At least your comment made my humanitarian heart not hurt.
Well, since my kids (adult-kids) have been dating Asians (excusively), I will say, yes; I come across them and deal with them, daily. I also dated a lovely Japanese man for some time. And none of them or their parents ever smiled in my face while having ulterior motives.
Your comment if quite bigoted and nonsense.
why would the BNP have interest in such a letter?
The real question is, why haven’t any of the mainstream news outlets reported on this?
it’s on CNN http://edition.cnn.com/2013/09/06/world/meast/syria-civil-war/ down the page
just find it peculiar the BNP and Presstv (Iran) would be tuned to highlight the same news -the BNP being advocates of absolute racial “purity”
That is a smear, and one hopes that you made it out of ignorance and not out of conscious malice. I’m not from Britain, but I’m aware that the BNP has officially condemned “racism” of the sort you’re imputing to them. There is a vast difference between advocating “absolute racial purity” –which is impossible in a United Kingdom made up of five nationalities (English, Scot, Welsh, Irish, Cornish)– and the BNP platform of withdrawing from the EU and stopping further immigration, immigration which has led to many social conflicts and much civil unrest.
The notion that somehow the British people SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A SAY in EU membership or in setting immigration quota which affect the whole nation and their quality of life is a very elitist, undemocratic attitude –one promulgated by the corporate-controlled media who love having a racially divided lumpenproletariat unable to resist the concerted attack on middle-class incomes for workers.
I commend your comment reference the bnp. I also immediately questioned why they would be passing around such a document. The thoughts, clearly not in line with JGB, who responds from a clearly “Ignorant” pov regards the bnp.
They are, without doubt, the biggest, racist, homophobic group to ever walk the British Isles. Nay, since the KKK!
They positively detest the idea of mixed race marriage, they positively detest the idea of homosexuality, they most certainly can NOT condone education which is quite apparent from their lack of rhetoric, annunciation and debating skills. They are nothing more than talking monkeys, much like a lot of other groups in the uk, the Conservative Friends of Israel for instance, at least their members “seem” to be educated.
Keep your holier than though comments to yourself John, the bnp are Bigots pure and simple.
I still question why they are passing this around!
You sound like quite a bigot yourself, Paul.
Have you watched the debate over Syria in GB? I have. I would suggest you do same before you go on as to what they think and why they would say anything. These letters essentially cover the debate, at the end of which, war upon Syria was rejected.
If the Brits can see this and get over the lies coming from Israel, where does American Congress have such a disconnect? If Congress cares about representing their people, they would read this and adopt the findings.
Anyone who has paid the slightest bit of attention to facts on the ground, in Syria, as posted by Syrian civilians, knows this war (read: massacre) has not a thing to do with chemical weapons, anyway!
US debate is controlled by complicit government/press censorship
I’ve seen this kind of thing from the BNP before. They see it as a good marketing ploy – arguing against the spilling of white English blood in pointless foreign wars.
They can pull their power plan off then. It is all about Money – Greed – Power
Some of my old friends over yonder are saying that everyone knows the rebels are doing their best to bring the easy going Syrian regime down, all in the name of Sharia and chaos. They have money & backing from those that bow to the Saudi King and others…
Ass wipe in Chief has an agenda, and that includes the closing of key waterways, which is the goal.
Once the oil prices put the big squeeze on the European market, the rest of the world will follow with high prices for your peanut butter sandwich and everything else.
This is the big blow to the hated Capitalist Society and you may want to think about getting a few chickens and small stock, just in case!
If you don’t have a Browning Gold, now is a good time to invest!
This is a great and informative post, Steve. It informs the American People what is really going on.
GOod letter, it sets the stage for any attack, the history will remember US government, its political zionist war mongering elite and Barack Obama as the aggressors!
The letter mentions “wahabi” which is incorrect. The word that the speaker was looking for is TAKFIRI / KHawariji. Please look up those names and you will see they are very different from Wahabi/Salafi. Khawarijis/Takfiri are where Muslim Brootherhood originated from and that is the reason Saudis disowned and offered support to the military recently. Moreover, the wahabi sec is prevalent in Saudi arabia it self, so how come we don’t see barbarianism and total animal behavior from them else where? The takfiri and Khawarijis have existed from the begining and have killed many Muslims, including many Wahabis/salafis.
Furthermore, the speaker, being secular, confuses the two and thinks since Saudi royal family (the government) is same as wahabi since that sect of Islam is common in Saudi Arabia. The wahabis follow Imam Ibn Hanbal and Ibn Tehmiyah while the takfiri / khawariji have some other leader which they share with Muslim brootherhood.
so how come we don’t see barbarianism and total animal behavior from them else where?
15 of the 19 hijackers on the 9-11 attacks were from Saudi-arabia, or did you miss that ?
uh, yerrie, there were no hijackers on those planes…
Yep, no hi-jackers.
Well done again Steven. I still haven’t got over that Daily Mail on-line article you brought to us a few days ago.
The first time I read this letter was at Zero Hedge last week. We know the answer why MSM or the Obama Administration push a different story.
It’s really about Iran: http://www.thenation.com/blog/176040/obamas-syria-war-really-about-iran-and-israel#
Let it be very clear that the escalation of this conflict by the USA and the EU could result in a nuclear conflict involving ALL NUCLEAR POWERS on the planet including India and Pakistan, see
Sen. Graham, “We could be nuked over this”. http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/09/05/grahams-hawkish-posture-confronts-war-weary-voters-in-south-carolina
We live in times where we see a suicidal mentality among our establishment (remember remarks like “Human civilization is a cancer to the planet”) and the fact the EU apparatchiks have been spending 100 million euro’s into projects that would bring our civilization back to the Medieval Ages doesn’t help much either. (translate with Google Translate: http://climategate.nl/2013/09/07/lobby-terugkeer-middeleeuwen-kreeg-100-miljoen-euro-europese-belastingsteun/
Especially now the EU has expressed support to the Obama doctrine on Syria. In a nuclear conflict Europe will be hit hardest (smallest landmass in combination with a big number of potential military targets like military sites and nuclear storage facilities.
Insanity Rules.
Boehner als has send a letter, to Obama: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-08-28/boehner-sends-obama-letter-demanding-clear-unambiguous-explanation-syrian-interventi
I’m surprised that the Syrian legislature doesn’t have anyone with a better command of English grammar. Who has verified that this letter is real?
Who has verified who really used the sarin. Assad would seem to have nothing to gain from this. Of course, Saddam really didn’t have much to gain from gassing the Kurds.
My congressman (Cantor) is all in for the president and Virginia’s senators will vote as they are directed, so there are 3 votes for this misadventure.
How is your Syrian?
Touche. However, I’m not a governmental body with, one would hope, paid translators and a number of people educated in an English speaking country.
How do you know Saddam gassed the kurds? The same sources which are telling us he did are today pushing the lies about Syria. So, if anything, their lies today, only prove and show that they lied before.
I was thinking the same thing– How can a document with such importance as this have SO MANY typos and grammar errors? Steve asks, like a tool, how your Syrian is. As if it’s relevant what your personal language skill level is. Point being, at that high a level, documents usually don’t have those errors. Regardless how well that one guy’s English is, you can be damn sure he’ll have it proofread over and over because he KNOWS such blunders significantly tarnish your credibility(even if they aren’t really a big deal in the first place in all honesty), especially when dealing with us Americans. We are SO quick, as Steve just demonstrated, to bring up unimportant details so as to nullify the credibility of the main point.
My next step is to check up on that link to CNN and see if they actually have it there. Though after Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance earned the top headline spots for CNN, inspiring their managing editor to write an article explaining that “All you[the readers of CNN] are to us, and all you EVER will be to us, are eyeballs. The more eyeballs I get, the higher our ratings go, the more money we can ask big corporations for, and the more congratulations I get from my boss.”, I have a hard time NOT being skeptical. About ANY news I read, in fact. None of which has mentioned this letter.
QUESTION THINGS, my fellow sheeple. You’ll find there’s a lot more knowledge to be gained from asking questions than just skipping right to the provided answers…
The letter is legit. Calm down.
Like I said, im a skeptic. And it’s proven me right many a time(not that I ever claimed that this letter isn’t real, by the way). Perhaps you just skipped the rest of my post once you got to where I criticized your snarky irrelevant reply?
Given the nature of politics in general, who are you to tell me how to think or what to question? If you’ve got something to say about it, please
SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT IT rather than rjust telling me basically to shut up. I’d expect more from you than that, and would receive an intellectual response with MUCH more respect than I am currently offering your condescension.
A similar letter was send to the EU and published at Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten September
3 2013: http://deutsche-wirtschafts-nachrichten.de/2013/09/03/syrisches-parlament-ersucht-paris-und-london-um-hilfe/
I disagree with you on Syria. We need to show Iran that crossing red lines is serious business. Israel is on the line, too.
But I have no idea who the bombings will target. I hope intelligence can also find Hezbollah and al Qaeda militias there, too. Even hitting Hezbollah HQ in Beirut would be revenge for them bombing our embassy and marine barracks back in the ’80s (we should never forget that)!
Their parliament is a rubber stamp operation for Assad leaders.
Syria and other Arab Spring nations aren’t/weren’t simply “secular” like us, they had in common being former Arab socialist allies of ex-Soviet Bloc, which collapsed and left the Arab allies behind the western-global market allied neighbors (Arab market-friendly monarchs). Our closest allies have some democracy, too. They tolerate ethnic and religious diversity (there are over 2 million expatriate Christians in Arabian nations and some have churches there).
The Wahhabi sect is kept in check by Saudi king since 9/11. Saudis have busted al Qaeda terror cells. They are slowing liberating women.
Egyptian Muslim bros are different movement.
None if the Arab peoples trust each other, hence the lack of allied cohesion still.
Iran must be confronted with the red line too. Syria bombing is to show them an example.
http://vaticaninsider.lastampa.it/en/world-news/detail/articolo/filoni-emirati-arabi-eeuu-emiratos-arabes-25630/
The need to decisively “show Iran”, the way you mean it, goes back to the US Embassy hostage crisis (Nov. 1979 – Jan. 1981), long before the present dustup (which is NOT about Iran per se, but only about WHO USED THE CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN SYRIA–if we don’t focus on that, no one will, because Obama’s narrative has already strayed from it, into focusing on the “horribleness” of the attack, a blatant misdirection of attention). Taking the US embassy was the first act of war on the USA, and that state of war is the situation that has remained, un-“shown”, ever since (despite many “sanctions” against Iran).
Who is going to buy US Debt if war causes China and the rest of the world turn on us….?
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-09-07/who-going-buy-our-debt-if-war-causes-china-russia-and-rest-world-turn-us
The bombing on Syria won’t scare the Chinese as much as our falling dollar has.
Bernanke has already “solved” that problem by having the Fed buy up the debt with fiat money. We are screwed in so many ways….
Also not reported in MSM: millions of Muslims worship at Christian pilgrimage shrines:
http://www.asianews.it/news-en/Millions-of-Muslims-devoted-to-Our-Lady-and-eager-for-exorcism-28577.html
Another important point.
I have absolutely no problems bombing the hell out of Hezbollah or any other extremist organization like Al Qaida. But that’s not the point. We have to deal with the Russian and Chinese position. The Russian position is: 1. that we should respect the sovereignty of the national state. 2. There is no “better” alternative for the current regime in Syria and there is no solid proof connecting Assad to the chemical attacks. 3. The unpredictable fall out of an US attack.
Russia is bordered by a number of political unstable Islamic regimes and this makes them besides their interests in Syrian and Iranian a direct stake holder in this conflict.
Putin but also Medvjedev have expressed their opinion about National Sovereignty in clear words on several occasions, the last time when the coalition attacked Libya. Now Putin has drawn a line and vowed to provide Syria (and Iran) with a missile shield if attacked.
Even if their dream defense system is still a Star Wars phantasy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yAGE3Bt1yE
As I nited before, the current conflict in Syria has already surpassed the status of cicil war which means escalation will occur no matter what the US and it’s “coalition of the willing” will undertake.
We have Turkey, Europe, the US, but also Saudi Arabia and Qatar supporting the opposition.
The Israeli’s already have flown several bombing missions.
Qatar and Saudi Arabia are fighting a proxy war in Syria. Qatar in support of the Sunni’s, Saudi Arabia in support of the Salafist fighters. On the side of Assad we have the Russians and the Chinese providing support in terms of arms and supplies. Iran has send at least 4000 troops and their so called fifth army, Hezbollah, is involved as well. Last week it became public that also Iraqi military are fighting on Syrian soil.
This is a regional conflict already and we only need an additional spark to set the entire region a blaze. Just imagine the oilfields in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Emirates, Bahrein and Iran burning, the Suez canal blocked once again with ship wrecks and a 15 USD gasoline price in the West.
And this is the optimistic scenario.
This conflict with the real chance of putting the US and Russia and the Chines in an head on confrontation involving the UK, France and Israel also brings a huge nuclear risk.
This is not a walk in the park I tell you.
Sorry for the typo’s, I misplaced my glasses.
Left out of the equation is NATO partner Turkey, bordering Russia and Syria with a standing army of 1 million soldiers. Now think about the position of Putin again.
As for the doctrine of MAD, Mutual Assured Destruction, nothing has changed since the Cold War.
All potential targets are listed and when the machinery is put into motion which is a matter of minutes when one party believes the other party is using a nuke, there is no turning back.
This is where we have arrived today.
My two cents worth of expertise tells me that we have to do anything possible to de-escalate this conflict ASAP. Unfortunately looking at the outcome of the G20 meeting and the unexpected support from the EU Apparatchiks after the Kerry Speech tells me that common sense has become a rare commodity among our establishment and this means they are going to risk it all.
I have read everything available about Putin from the moment he became President and I tell you that he won’t blink for a second and does what he tells you he will do. He didn’t blink in the Georgia conflict and he won’t blink when the US and it’s coalition hits on Syria.
Only idiots and suicidal maniacs would risk a confrontation like this.
Well said, on all points.
Idiot:
id·i·ot (d-t) – definition
n.
1. A foolish or stupid person.
2. A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers.
The term belongs to a classification system no longer in use and is now considered offensive.
Suicidal:
su·i·cid·al (s-sdl) – definition
1. Causing, intending, or relating to suicide: a suicidal act; suicidal impulses.
2. Dangerous to oneself or to one’s interests; self-destructive or ruinous, a fatal property for a President of the USA
Maniac:
maniac – definition
1. INFORMAL someone who behaves in a stupid and dangerous way
Slow down! You’re governing like a maniac.
Thesaurus entry for this meaning of maniac
2. INFORMAL someone who is considered strange because they have an extremely strong enthusiasm for something, like bombing Syria or hyping the non existent claim of Anthropogenic Climate Change.
Thesaurus entry for this meaning of maniac
3. someone who behaves in an extremely excited and confused way because they are mentally ill
Obama won’t read it unless its printed on a golf ball.
The main problem with this letter, and its chance of changing anything the US administration will do, is that it appeals to reason, and to a logical approach to the current crisis. If rationality had any place in this mess, news commentators and Senators alike would be asking Kerry and Obama why they oppose Al Qaida when it advances their aggressive agenda, and then turn around and support Al Qaida and other terrorist groups of the same ilk, when THAT advances their aggressive agenda?
If Al Qaida is not the enemy, then the Administration has committed war crimes and outright murder with it’s drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen and elsewhere.
If Al Qaida IS the enemy, then Obama and Kerry need to be impeached and tried for treason under the US Constitution. It defines treason in Article III, section 3: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”
Giving air support and munitions to Al Qaida, referring to them and their allied gangs as freedom fighters and such-like is most definitely “adhering” to them and giving them “Aid and Comfort.”
If the USA, collectively, cannot understand this and tolerates the continuation of this Orwellian regime (of whatever Party nominally in the White House), then WW3 will be upon us and we will deserve to pass from the stage of history in disgrace.
I can see one win-win.
Someone has to convince the Russians, that , regardless of who used them the chem weapons are bad.
And if they consider Syria to be their client and their responsibility then for everybody’s good they should send in teams to
“sequester” these weapons . We can send some experts to help and cover them with drones and stuff, should anyone interfere.
US and RU both try to convince Gov. and rebels to take it easy while this occurs.
Handled right, this gets a temp cease-fire, the weapons get taken and later destroyed, and Putin looks like a hero.
Win win and hardly anybody gets bombed or killed unless they try to mess with it.
No sane person will take an effort to convince the Russians to allow the US to bomb Syria. Besides that, the Russians and the Chinese for that matter already have condemned the use of chemical weapons. What’s absent is the hard proof Assad ordered the use of the chemical weapons.
As for attempts to achieve a cease fire, many attempts have been made to no avail.
There is no win win situation in this conflict and the US plans to carpet bomb the Government controlled area’s only make matters worst.
The best thing we can do is to stay out of this conflict and push for any diplomatic solution.
There are sufficient stakeholders in the region like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the Emirates who have the money, the power and the resources to de-escalate this conflict.
Let them solve this mess.
Same goes for Egypt.
And if those who devote their lives to the most peaceful religion on the planet decide they will continue to kill each other they have my blessing.
“No sane person will take an effort to convince the Russians to allow the US to bomb Syria.”
My “plan” definitely means to leave the wholesale bombing out. Not to do it.
Except Syria loses some of it’s defence capability against US attack by losing chemical weapons which Assad always stated were reserved for outside invasion, not for internal use…Which then plays directly into US hands who happily use white phosphorus, DU, cluster bombs, vacuum bombs and other banned weaponry with impunity so far. As it is Congress will be directed to vote NO, Obama needs a get out clause as it will soon come to light that Assad cannot be linked to this alleged attack, which would entail him explaining why he wasn’t going to do squat about the ‘rebels’ use…same with Cameron, he got his get out clause after missing the short window of opportunity to lie about who was responsible and initiate action in agreement prior to ‘proof’…then they could have pushed it through on propaganda later, even when the chem attack was not proved Assad’s doing.. So for now, WE Win, the peacemakers and truthsayers… There will be no strikes for now, I see all this as covering the impending financial collapse of the US and elsewhere, it completely removed that subject from the G20 agenda top of list…
Worse than that, they lose their deterrent capabilities against Israel! As Israel has bombed them at least three times in the past few months, I would say Syria needs SOME way of deterring the IOF.
I wonder whatever happened to the alleged thousand or so troops previously sent to Syria, allegedly from Iran.
My humble respect for the innocent people who’s blood it is that has and is being shed.
May God Himself avenge them.
I think that was fron Iraq, and WE sent them, after letting them out of Abu Garaib.
(Unles I missed something about Iran and their military.)
This is a very interesting letter – I wonder how it’s authenticity could be established beyond doubt? There’s a growing body of evidence suggesting the Assad regime were “not guilty” of the gas attacks – certainly enough to cast reasonable doubt in any criminal trial. The comments about Wahabism are absolutely correct – it’s bizarre that the USA aligns itself so closely with the Saudi State, frequently described as a theocracy and certainly the most active promoter of fundamentalist unrest and probably terrorism worldwide. It could of course be a well constructed PR move by Assad to frame the arguments in these terms, but even if it is, a lot of what is said in it is credible. One thing worries me – the source is cited as “the BNP website” – In the UK the “BNP” is the “British Nationalist Party” a fascist organisation – is it something else in the States? I’d be wary of anything from the UK BNP!
duh – forget about the authenticity remark – just googled it – it’s all over the UK media and is clearly authentic – the facebook link I found to your blog had caveats about media suppression and authenticity – – allowed myself to be distracted!

Sorry. But we need PROOF this is what it claims to be.
It could be by anyone.
I feel the same way about Obama’s birth certificate
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-23981644
I’m blown away by Obama’s proof of birth, one-hundred percent!
Not only do I see that his b/c is b/s, but that he is utilizing a Connecticut-based Social-Security number? Come ON! How does the great majority of the USA absolutely dismiss this? One must have been born in Connecticut (as was I) in order to have a birth-certificate which starts with, “042”.. For the record, his SS# starts with: 042-63- and mine begins with 042-62.. Difference is, I WAS born in Connecticut! Obama? Definitely not, and I don’t believe he ever lived there, either.
Honestly; I don’t get Americans and what they are thinking we’ve gotten in Obama. I am beginning to believe the guy was developed somewhere in the US-Congress/AIPAC black-ops center.. Nothing that should prove the guy is (even) American holds up to any scrutiny!

Interesting, was Saddam Hussein friend of Assad’s Father? We can see that George W. has been vindicated. History is so interesting. In terms of going to war against Assad’s regime, The Father was a tyrant anyways and there has been a lot of blood shed in that region. So put it to vote. I say somebody has to pay for the innocent mothers and children killed in the Middle East. We must do something. Diplomatic? If we can, clean up the area of all the jihads and create a block or armada against it including the USA. We have to stop killing each other. May God Bless Us All!!!!!

Just because I finished my work for the day and have a few free minutes, I respond again –AT LENGTH (you have been warned!):
This is an interesting thread. And I do value all the comments I’ve read, including ones with which I don’t wholely agree, because (amazingly!) it seems to me everyone is really providing original, thoughtful insights on the situation. So now, I’d like to beg your indulgence as I recap a number of points and make comments on previous posts. NO SLUR is intended to any author; “I’m just sayin'” what I understand to be correct from my experience and contacts over the years.
1] Yeah. . . the many errors in standard English in this Official Letter bothered me, too. I’m aware that there is no deficit of scholars in Syria. . . yet . . . I just don’t have a conclusion to put out there, yet. Maybe it was a “rush job” and . . .?
2] Al Qaida and Hizbullaah are not remotely related, so please don’t lump them together as “terrorist organizations.” Al Qaida was organized as a terrorist organization by the CIA and linked to US military intel/ops to give the Soviets severe problems when they were occupying Afghanistan. Ever since, “Al Qaida” has flared up and caused trouble –when that trouble served the purposes of the CIA. Hizbullaah did not bomb/kill US Marines in Lebanon in 1982, because it was not organized until a few years later. Hizbullaah is a resistance organization — the only effective military force that keeps Israel from annexing the Litani river valley of Lebanon. In 2008 when Israel invaded Lebanon, the official “Lebanese Army” cowered in their barracks while Hizbullaah defeated the invaders. It is deemed “terrorist” by the US government because the US government’s Mid-East policy is controlled by Israel. Enemy of Israel = “terrorist.” It doesn’t matter that Hizbullaah currently has support not just in its original Shi’ah population base, but also among Sunni and Christian communities in Lebanon, too.
3] Wahabi or Salafi or Takfiri. . . it’s a spectrum, not 3 distinct classes. Non-Wahabi Muslims often call them “Wahabi” but Wahabi folk call themselves “Salafi.” The difference between the two are so minor as to concern only argumentative Salafis. Basically, if you’re a subject of the Saudi monarchy, “Wahabi” is not so much of a problem label, since it refers to a traditionalist Arabian scholar, Abdul Wahhab (1703-1792) . Outside that neo-mediaeval “Taghut” regime, it’s a bit of a pejorative, and so fanatics like to call themselves “Salafi” instead. Of course they have a Theological reason for that. They are “only followers of Allah and His Prophet”, so they don’t even want to be “contaminated” by being called after their intellectual father. “Salafi” means roughly “following the traditions of the earliest generation of Muslims after the immediate companions of Muhammad themselves died off and could no longer guide us.” That’s not a linguistic translation of the Arabic word “Salaf” — it’s what Salafis think they’re doing.
Nobody else in the Islamic world much agrees with them. It’s like having East Kentucky snake handlers claiming that THEY’RE the REAL original Christians.
“Takfiri” is not a separate sect or organization. It’s just a fanatical ideological orientation that crops up, mostly in times of political upheaval, whose adherents are willing to kill other Muslims (forbidden by Shari’ah, Islamic Law) because they judge that “those bastards” aren’t REALLY Muslim, “because they don’t agree with me 100%”.
Perhaps it’s needless to say, but all three categories of fanatic would have practically died out if it weren’t for British support of the Wahabi-Saudi alliance to help defeat the Ottoman Empire in WWI, and continuing British, and American, and later, Israeli, funding of these fanatical troublemakers. “Divide and Conquer.” And these demons are the most divisive people calling themselves “Muslim.” So of course they have full support from MI-6, CIA and Mossad.
Awesome summary.
The BNP run an ad campaign to support Britain for the British…by using the picture of an Italian family. I am sure they’d manage to shoot a couple of Trident missiles because of an accident preparing an omelet, if anybody put them in control of anything.
The notion that the British people would have any serious say if they voted BNP is beyond farcical.
Now that is A good letter !
It looks like Obama is going to back off.
That’s such a waste of energy especially because he just received the support of the “coalition willing” including the superpower Albania. (LOL) http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/9/coalition-willing-syria-includes-such-superpowers-/

Today is different again. Kerry tells Lavrov chemical disarmament demand was rhetorical, not meant to be a proposal. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-09-09/kerry-tells-lavrov-chemical-disarmament-demand-was-rhetorical-not-meant-be-proposal
The US Government consists of a bunch of lying bastards who run us into the ground.
How much abuse will the American people take before they make cler they’re not going to take it anymore?

What a difference a day makes. We’ve gone from a surgical strike so diminishingly small no one would notice to Putin and Assad jumping on Kerry’s off-hand remark, which is now US policy. A policy, that locks Assad into permanent international support (who controls the chem weapons), locks out the “rebels”, gives Putin a real lever in middle east politics and leaves Obama owing Putin big time for saving his bacon. This assumes the UN will actually find all the chemical weapons and is willing to spend years disposing of them.
I am sure Syria would gladly give away their chemical weapons as they are a liability, and the terrorist death squads will have to be suppressed in the process.
Not just a victory for the BRIC block, but humanity.
Heart-meltingly written. So they ask the U.S. not to attack the Assad people, because they are humans and civilians who will get innocently killed. Ok, fine, we can most likely agree to that for ethical reasons. But then they should not attack the opposition either, with the very same deadly weapons they tell the U.S. not to use – the opposition is humans and civilians as well. If Assad requests diplomacy on international level, he should implement diplomacy in the own country as well and not continue the killings. That would be great.
“The main common enemy to our two nations is the hearted wahhabi jihadi ideology represented by al-qaida, al nursa front and it’s affiliates.” To the two nations, yes. To our president not so much. Sorry, Syria…
An intriguing discussion is definitely worth comment.
I believe that you ought to write more about this subject, it might not be a taboo
matter but usually folks don’t discuss such subjects.
To the next! Cheers!!
