If the Republican leadership had any brains, they would seize the initiative about shutting down Obama’s dictatorship.
- Make clear they will not put up with it
- Make clear that his executive actions are illegal
- Make clear weeks in advance that they will fully fund DHS, but will not fund Obama’s illegal immigration action
- Make clear that it is Obama refusing to sign the DHS funding bill, and thus shutting down DHS
Of course they won’t do any of this, will allow Obama to blame them, and will ultimately cave. Like they always do. They are a bunch of amateur hacks.
The Repub licans need to follow the yellow brick road and find a wizard. Anything would be better than following Boner.
Exactly. The people that elected them don’t want bipartisan “compromise” (Democrat definition of compromise is do what they want), they want a clear conservative agenda. Pass bills and let Obama veto them so he looks like the obstructor. The Republicans need to create a clear distinction between the parties with a conservative agenda. Instead in 2016 the Republicans will run another “electable” milk toast – Jeb Bush.
I wouldn’t count on Bush. Conservatives won’t give him the nomination and progressives probably won’t be able to skew the republican primary because so many of them will refuse to vote for anyone with the last name of Bush.
Bush’s weakness is already apparent since it appears he may be avoiding the Iowa caucuses altogether. He’s got the backing of the powers that be in the Republican party establishment but I don’t think that will be enough. Only time will tell but the point is Bush is not and will not be the shoe in that many of the establishment republicans and the liberal press would like us to believe.
You wouldn’t count on Bush, like you wouldn’t count on Romney or McCain?
I voted for Romney but not McCain. McCain got the nomination by progressive votes. Romney didn’t.
Romney was another milk toast. You are delusional – Bush can definitely win the Republican nomination in 2016.
“…Bush can definitely win the Republican nomination in 2016.”
Win the battle, but lose the war.
The fact liberal-on-everything Bush is even considering a run proves my point that Democrats and Republicans are different heads of the same hydra.
didn’t say he could not win. Said: “Only time will tell but the point is Bush is not and will not be the shoe in that many of the establishment republicans and the liberal press would like us to believe.” Don’t project your problems onto me. That’s a liberal trait you iknow.
That is no projection, Bush will lose.
I for one would like to have a choice that represents the people instead of a red puppet and a blue puppet both controlled by the same puppet master.
Unfortunately I do not see that happening. From what I can see the goal is to drive the country into revolt, like the ones that were orchestrated in the Middle East, and then put in a new government based on what the UN/PTB wants.
Bye,Bye Constitution. They Really Really want to get rid of that document.
“Don’t project your problems onto me. That’s a liberal trait you iknow.”
I’m not projecting onto anyone. I am stating facts. Fact #1: Mitt Romney is a milk toast moderate Republican without principles. He won the nomination in 2012. Fact #2: Jeb Bush is another milk toast who will have the backing of the party establishment that thinks it needs moderates to win. Bush is well known and will have solid financial backing, so its more than reasonable to assume he can win the nomination. To just dismiss him is foolish.
Dave, Romney was a Democrat in Republican clothes as his collusion with Gruber and Kennedy to steal money from Federal Funds to make Romneycare work shows.
the fact is that most elections are voting for the lesser of two evils. Knowing what you know now, who would have been the lesser? I voted for what I believed was the lesser in that case. In McCain’s case I wrote IN R. Reagan in protest because I was so pissed and so was a no vote. The first time I wasted my vote. The second I didn’t even if the candidate I voted for lost because I had voted against the worst evil.
The night of that election I laid down in my sleeper in the Pilot Truck stop in Waco, TX thinking Romney had a chance. Next morning I woke up to find Obama had won. Got cleaned up and drove to the Flying J on I-57 not far from Charleston, MO. They have a Huddle House there and I was hungry having not taken anything but coffee in the last 24 hours and having driven the last 10 of it.
Went in and ordered a glass of chocolate milk which I drank as I looked over the menu. The employees of the Huddle House were so exuberant about the election results I lost my appetite and didn’t order. Standing at the counter to pay for chocolate milk another trucker looked at me and said “Can you believe it?”. He and I just locked eyes and both shook our heads. Couldn’t sleep and couldn’t distract myself by reading, and didn’t want to stew on it, so I drove the additional 5 1/2 hours to get home.
A couple Jack & Cokes later and my own bed and I was out like a light.
rah,
Like you I also voted for Romney but not McCain. I voted third party for the first time in my life. I am still not sure that McCain would have been better that Obummer. Just looney tunes in a different way. That was one scary dude.
Scary! I did the exact same thing. I voted Barr in 08.
“To mix environmental concerns with the frantic fantasies that people have about
one political party or another is to miss the cold truth—that there is very little difference
between the parties, except a difference in pandering rhetoric.” ~ Michael Crichton (ENVIRONMENTALISM AS RELIGION)
Exactly. And anyone who thinks the Republican establishment actually wants to get rid of the overuse of executive actions is fooling themselves. They just don’t want Obama to use it. They’d be all for it if the tables were turned and it were a Republican in the White House and the Dems controlled Congress.
Amateur? They are well paid for it. Many have made it their life’s work.
True. They are professional amateur hacks.
No they are all professional Whores. An amateur hack would never ever make it in the shark invested waters of state politics never mind national politics.
In the last election the MSM took out our decent state Congressman via mudslinging. I never say ONE article where he had a chance to defend himself. He could easily have done so but the PTB wanted him gone because he was pro-small business, pro-fracking and very very Anti- UN Agenda 21.
It was a darn shame because he is exactly the type of leader we would want. A smart small businessman who nows more about economics than Obummer ever will. And yes I do know him.
“No they are all professional Whores. An amateur hack would never ever make it in the shark invested waters of state politics never mind national politics.”
Ron Paul was the rare exception.
Except for the fact that whores are honest about selling a service for a predetermined price that people obviously want. Politicians are dishonest and are screwing us for 10 to 100 times the stated cost whether we want it or not.
You are correct Niel, I am insulting the Ladies of the Night. Perhaps T.r.a.i.t.o.r is the more correct term.
No they are all professional
Whores.Sociopaths.There, I finally got the sentence right.
Overpaid at any price.
Sure, the Republican politicians might take all of those listed actions, if it weren’t for the small fact that most of them are on the same team as Obama. They’ll continue to deliver all the standard conservative messages in their campaign speeches, and then do nothing to stop the endless tide of collectivism. Very few exceptions.
Because they only play conservatives on TV. Both parties want bigger govt.
Good one. “I’m not a conservative, but I play one on TV.”
Here is what you need to know to understand the establishment Republicans. Their number one goal is getting reelected next election and of course electing new republicans to office. Their purpose for being there; the reason they ran for office was to get elected and be able to hand out the money and favorable legislation to supporters and cronies. Ans lastly to enrich themselves both while in office and set themselves up for nice jobs after they get out of office. They are not stupid or timid or even unorganized they are self-absorbed and they are their for their own enrichment and not to save the country.
If a conservative Republican threatens their goals by actually trying to put the tax payers and citizens first then the conservatives must be punished. They will not be supported for reelections and they will be excoriated by the establishment Republicans when they are speaking to the MSM. The tea party who is in favor of abiding by the constitution, reducing taxes and reducing regulations have been demonized both by Democrats and establishment Repubicans. The goal is to not rock the boat and ride this failing government over the cliff all the while giving tax money to cronies and feathering your own nest. Don’t ruin the chances of being reelected by tackling the tough job of saving the nation!
An excellent write-up that accurately describes the politics in the USA. America’sRuling Class
Jo Nova’s hubby, Dr Evans, wrote a similar article Climate Coup the Politics
If the Republicans block everything from the Democrats, when the shoe is on the other foot, there won’t be any excuse to stop the Democrats from exacting revenge. Government will quickly come to a standstill if the Republicans oppose everything. Being in power is all about compromises. They have to pick their battles. It won’t be easy and the neither the Reps or the Dems will have it all their way. Political maneuvering for the next 2 years will be fun to watch if I can distance myself from the global warming BS.
Such garbage. There’s not a dimes worth of difference between republicans and democrats. They both want the same thing. That are not picking battles, they are simply putting on a show for the idiots at home.
A government at a complete stand still is just what we want since it is OUR money they are spending and OUR lives they are trying to rule.
All politicians are from Uranus, and they smell like it, too!
+1
It’s not that they are clueless, they are complicit. Both parties want bigger govt.
The public servants are the main impediment to smaller government. It takes a monumental effort to remove public servants. You can slash departmental budgets and force labor cuts, but they come back as outside advisers on a different budget.
“20,000 years ago most of Canada and the northern United States were covered by ice a mile thick. The climate has cycled between that “glacial” condition and current conditions, known as interglacial, approximately every 100,000 years over the last one million years. These huge, repeated changes in climate, called glacial cycles, are caused by relatively small changes in the amount of summertime sunlight over Canada and other areas near the North pole. Glacial cycles offer a unique opportunity to understand how the climate responds to changes in sunlight and how the different parts of the climate system interact with one another. “
No it was cause by all the CO2 released when the Inuit burned all the seal oil.

I have to agree that I have never seen a more inept PR strategy from the first election to the last.

A visible picture captured at 1600 UTC (11 a.m. EST) showed the effects of the latest Arctic outbreak. The cold front that brought the Arctic air has moved as far south as Florida, and stretches back over the Gulf of Mexico and just west of Texas today. The image shows clouds behind the frontal boundary stretching from the Carolinas west over the Heartland. Farther north, a wide band of fallen snow covers the ground from New England west to Montana, with rivers appearing like veins. The GOES-East satellite image also shows wind-whipped lake-effect snows off the Great Lakes, blowing to the southeast. Meanwhile, Florida, the nation’s warm spot appeared almost cloud-free.
Republicans have a brain and used it to stay alive for the past seventy years by pretending to be an opposition party to Democrats so the American public would think they still had a choice in government while Stalin’s one-world government took control of the globe.
These wannabe world tyrants have a surprise awaiting them:

In addition to correcting typographical errors, the description of modes of nuclear decay and nuclear forces is improved.
Failure to communicate this earlier likely delayed acceptance of neutron repulsion as an important source of energy in heavy atoms, planets, stars and galaxies when the mass exceeds 150 amu (atomic mass units).
Comments, corrections or criticism would be appreciated from anyone, especially anyone with insight on the way invisible electromagnetic waves (EMW) or force fields from the Sun’s pulsar core hold subatomic particles together to create the illusion of solid atoms, lives and worlds in the solar system today, . . .

Just ran across this and thought it was too good not to share.
“They are a bunch of amateur hacks”
No they are doing what they are paid to do. I find it baffling that there are those who still fail to realise we live in a one party state.
They are not hacks. The leadershit of the Republicrap Party are the other half of the Good Cop Bad Cop being played on this country. They are criminals the same as the Dhimmicraps.
The democrats have had power for how many years now? How much of the expansion of power of government and/or the executive under GWB have they rolled back? Zero. How much of the expansion under Clinton did Republicans role back with GWB? Zero. They don’t want to roll it back, they want to wield it.
The last six or eight times they tried such things they got pilloried in the press and lost seats in Congress.
Not everyone thinks as astutely as you and me, Steve. AAMOF, very, very few do. They’re called libertarians.
“Not everyone thinks as astutely as you and me, Steve….”
……..
Fabian socialist George Bernard Shaw told us how the Fabians were going to take over this and other countries. “A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.”
How far have the Fabian/Progressives gotten in creating the ‘Pauls’ who will support them?
2,721,000 = federal government (2006 census)
5,128,000 = state government (2006 census)
14,199,000 = local government (2006 census)
————–
22,048,000 = total employees of US governments (2006 census)
3,215,100 are teachers (2006 Census)
42,870,000 — Age 65 and older receiving ONLY Social Security (2014 from US gov)
108,592,000..— “means-tested” government benefit recipient in addition to SS (2011)
306,804,000 people in the United States in 2011
Roughly 176,725,100 People are directly paid by the US government or receive direct benefits. That gives us 57.6% of the population who directly receive money or benefits from the government.
……..
Lets look at the ‘Peters’ who are creating wealth in relation to the ‘Pauls’ whose job it is to curtail that wealth creation.
3,215,100 = teachers (Who teach kids ‘Capitalism’ is EVIL.)
22,543,000 = Total employees of various US governments
———-
25,758,100 = total directly paid
133,662,000 = Work force in 2006
19.27% were directly employed by government in 2006. This does not include contractors, compliance officers, lobbyists, lawyers, accountants and other government related jobs so about 25% of our labor forces is directly or indirectly associated with government bureaucracy instead of the 0.88 % just in the Federal Government most people consider.
