Shattered Hopes

During the warm winters of the late 1990’s I held high hopes that global warming was improving the climate. But now we are back the same crappy, cold weather of the late 1970’s.

You think Al Gore and the UN’s IPCC might have misunderstood forces that control Earth’s climate?

Don’t know if you are serious or not. But I had some hope that the cyclical nature of hard winters and milder winters would give me a little bit more mild and I think mother nature did that. I was grateful for the mild I got — I have plants in my yard in central Florida that need mild winters at least until they are mature or they will die. I love my foxtail palms.

I am still hoping against any hard freeze in Orlando this year. In the 70s there was never any hope against at least one bad freeze. Don’t get me wrong — there is no measurable anthropogenic CO2 component of the climate.
