Solar panels are an awesome option when you get six hours of sunlight a day , the solar panels are buried in snow, and the temperature is below zero F.
So go for it progressives. Show us that you aren’t just the world class hypocrites you pretend to be.
Why Promote Fraudulent Science?
In response to my request last week for comments on “The Great Social Experiment of 1945-2015” [1], Robert K. Wilcox, author of the most definitive book on the history of Japan’s atomic bomb project [2] – described this as:
“a giant issue of monumental proportions”
and
“the greatest secret of the universe – creation, God”
His response helped me realize that my entire research career has been the re-discovery of information my research mentor – the late Professor Paul Kazuo Kuroda – probably already knew: This greatest secret of the universe was hidden from the public in 1945:
Modern nuclear physics and ancient spiritual teachings agree:
God (a conscious and intelligent Mind) uses neutron repulsion to make galaxies of stars, solar systems that orbit the stars, and worlds consisting of atoms, chemical compounds and living organisms with conscious awareness of their surroundings, memories and the passage of time.
Kuroda and probably others were aware of it – the post-WWII “secret” symbolically displayed as a point of origin of sun rays emerging from the center of the flag of the Land of the Rising Sun (1870-1945) and also represented by the sun goddess Amaterasu Omikami in the Shinto religion [3].
This post-WWII “secret” is consistent with basic spiritual insights of many different religions and philosophies, e.g., [4].

A while ago a physicist had a comment on this blog about the fact that in the lower atmosphere, the atoms/molecules are close enough together and their speed is such that the mean length of time before any greenhouse gas in the excited state collides with another particle is much shorter than the length of time it would take before it emits its photon. In fact the length of time to emit is several orders of magnitude greater than the time between collisions.
Therefore, when GHG absorb photons in the lower atmosphere they most likely will give up the energy as kinetic.
Also any widening of the IR absorption range would mean hardly anything because photons emitted upward would ‘see’ a transparent path out of the atmosphere.
Bottom line, no increase of downward radiation due to increases in CO2.
Gail, you stated it was an enlightening moment for you, and it was for me also when I read it.
I seemed to have lost the figures that were given and I have been searching for info regarding times for photon emission and for mean time between collisions.
Do you have any info?

You failed to include me. I also volunteer Vermont.
Fund managers survive or not, on the basis of their positive returns to investors. If they choose to invest (or divest) based on ideology and not observant economic assessments they obviously risk their own job and may see flight of capital from their funds. In a free market it’s self-regulating, so they make decisions at their potential peril.
There are far fewer investors who are ideologically driven than are fiscally driven. The move to divest because of silly reasons is not new and this current one will simply move money and jobs, from one fund to another. Personally right now with low oil prices, I’d tend to soon be a buyer as the excess supply will wane and prices will go up. So oil company stocks will have to rise. Selling them now would be completely silly.
Nope, they will wait for the invention of the carbon capture campfire (CCC).
A grant to create CCC technology is likely available, maybe check with Gornuttermann.
Now that fossil fuel investments are at an extreme low, it is the best time for those greenies to divest. May the reap what they sow.
If they do give up their fossil fuel sources they may want to get ahead of great Britain by building more morgues… Apparently with the latest bout of freezing weather it’s a “Full House”!
