CO2 was at very low levels in 1935. According to experts, that means a stable climate. Memorial Day 1935 brought 24 inches of rain in six hours to Colorado.
Labor Day 1935 brought the most powerful hurricane in US history.
Not to mention record heat, drought and floods.

Were those events to occur now (in 2015), the warmistas would be rending their garments, donning sack-cloth and ashes and lining-up to jump off a cliff into the sea before the world ended.
Dang.
Or at the very least flagellating themselves. Or should that be flatulating themselves.
Or at the warmists proclaim………..Oh for the good ole days!
Except they spelled better in the good ole days. “as” not “at”.
I can’t find this on the wtnh website, but this evening the weatherman had a story about volcanoes and weather/climate since it’s the anniversary of Mt St Helens, and in it he blamed volcanic winter on the ash and CO2 emitted by volcanoes. CO2, not SO2.
I guess the IPCC will be relieved to know that CO2 in fact causes global cooling (again).
Reblogged this on Climatism.
Thanks for showing these old newspaper headlines. People simply don’t realize that the “weather” that climate scientists imply is “proof” of global warming has in fact been going on for decades.
It also gives me pause to give thanks for our modern era of prosperity and stable climate. I couldn’t imagine how unbelievable hard it was on Americans back in the 1930s having to deal with the horrible climate conditions of the dust bowl era and the great depression.
Overall, for health and safety and longevity, we live in the Golden Age of Human Existence. And pitifully few of us are aware of how good we have it.
Next year, you can go for July 1936. The NA heat wave from the 8th to the 13th was the worst ever. The archived headlines from the newspapers then are choice material!
