Katherine Hayhoe believes that Lubbock is getting hotter and drier, at an unprecedented rate. She warns Texans that they are going to burn up.
In fact, Lubbock temperatures have been falling since 1998, with the last two years cooler than normal. The temperature graph indicates that Lubbock is experiencing a cyclical decline in temperature.
Hot days used to be much more common, and the frequency of hot days has plummeted since 1998 – with the exception of a very hot summer in 2011.
Winter/early spring precipitation has been increasing, with six of the ten wettest years occurring since 1997.
Katherine Hayhoe gets paid big bucks to lie about the climate in Texas. She really shouldn’t do that.

I was laughing last year after Al Roker did the stories on the drought in Lubbock and Oklahoma.
Because I remember the past.

Lubbock is closing in fast on the same record.
Every extreme drought in Texas has ended with heavy rain. These people don’t seem to actually know anything about history.
And she does all this damage while collecting a paycheck provided by the taxpayers of Texas. Similar feeling to “Pull out gun, shoot foot”.
Over the past 55 years – since starting research in 1960 – I came across probably one or two rather obvious NAS (National Academy of Sciences) falsehoods every 5-10 years.
After Climategate emails surfaced in 2009, the rate of falsification increased and it is now increasing almost exponentially.
Probably it is just much easier to detect manipulation of temperature data than it is to detect manipulation of cosmic ray or solar neutrino data.
Interesting that the hot summer of 2011 corresponds with when the polar vortex descended into the NA continent. Betting it was very windy that year, also.
