A carefully planned, 115-day scientific expedition on board the floating research vessel, the CCGS Amundsen, has been derailed as the icebreaker was called to help resupply ships navigate heavy ice in Hudson Bay.
“Obviously it has a large impact on us,” says Martin Fortier, executive director of ArcticNet, which coordinates research on the vessel. “It’s a frustrating situation.”
During the summer, the Amundsen operates as a floating research centre with experiments running 24 hours a day. This year it was scheduled to reach North Baffin Bay.

“It’s a frustrating situation.”
Once again we see the doomers getting upset when the ice refuses to melt on schedule, I really wish they would make up their minds. Do they want to see more ice, or less?
See the discussion at EarthSky.org
The site is excellent for “sky” stuff–what the stars will do tonight–but is totally AGW for “earth” stuff. But the allow dissenting comments.
Chime in!

Chimed! Had to take down the “97%” claim.
Great!
Did a couple of posts..
That devildog guy seems particularly brain-washed ignorant.
note, I was very polite 😉
Given that he was casting doubt on the integrity of the data at WfT, one has little confidence in his grasp of the subject, certainly.
But don’t forget–earthsky.org is really fantastic for what’s happening in the sky tonight–very clear explanations with drawings of interesting events in the sky.
It is amazing that after showing that alarmists are making fraudulent claims of consensus, that all I get are more fraudulent claims of consensus with zero acknowledgement of the claim show to be fraudulent. Once again we see the depravity of the aveage leftist.
Of course they want it to melt. It is far better that it worked out this way. If they can’t get there they can’t lie about it with credibility. And the people needing resupply don’t need any scientists to tell them it’s a colder than normal summer in the Arctic.
Arctic ice ‘grew by a third’ after cool summer in 2013
The volume of Arctic sea ice increased by around a third after an unusually cool summer in 2013.
Researchers say the growth continued in 2014 and more than compensated for losses recorded in the three previous years.

What a joke. The scientists discovered that colder summers caused less ice to melt and
cold winters caused the ice to thicken.
I believe they have recruited the “HMS Blowtorch Reggie” to come in and clear a path.
That may be the problem.
Rumor has it that Reggie, given a map, a flashlight, a mirror-on-a-stick and the use of both hands was unable to locate his own backside.
If true, kinda explains the dismal successive ice melt season failures of “Reggie’s Brawndo-Fueled Blowhard Blowtorch of Ice Armageddon”. There were several other rumors of the reasons / excuses for Reggie’s failures to perform, yet all those tales were of a rather delicate nature and this is a public blog….. (i.e. use your imagination)
Peary was able to get to what is now Alert Canada (northernmost Baffin Bay on the Arctic Ocean) in this, in 1909…

Today they need this?

Strange, all the government ice charts show the Arctic hasn’t ever melted in over 2000 years.
funny!
Mirror image of the stuck in the ice in Antarctica crew that was going to show us all how Antarctica was melting.
Ship of fools over and over again, hahaha.
This is supposed to be the hottest week of the year and all this week and into August where I live it won’t break 75 degrees F during sunny days and fall to below 55 degrees F at night. Got to be the coldest Hottest Year Evah event, ever.
It’s an even bet that next year will be even colder, but also once again the “hottest year evah!”.
The coldest Hottest year Evah. I love that, can we put that on a t shirt?
If you do, make sure the year looks like it’s a tear off tab with 2016 partially visible under it.

that there is brilliant gator69 🙂
I told you to keep an eye on Hudson Bay this summer.
It’s the canary for the next ice age.
Yes, much of the glaciation was from the snow that fell on the Canadian Shield. I’ve noticed on my Meteo app that much of the colder air that hit us this Spring came from that area.
I needed a good laugh for the day. I bet those scientists have difficulty seeing the funny side of it.
