Summer afternoon temperatures in Wisconsin have dropped about ten degrees since the 1930s.
The hottest days are also down about 10 degrees.
And the number of hot days has declined by 90%.
US government criminals of course claim the exact opposite is happening, because they are paid by the White House to lie about climate.
Iowa looks pretty hot on that map, and like Wisconsin the number of hot days has plummeted.
It is pretty safe to assume that anything the US government says about climate is the exact opposite of what is happening.
That map is of “projected increase in hottest days by mid-century in the high-emission scenario, as compared to 1971-2000”. In other words, another alarmist model that compares its grant seeking projection with cherry-picked dates.
The report lamented how the homes were built to hold heat in.
Most buildings that “hold heat in rather then shed it ” also hold out the heat once the inside is cooled. It is called insulation and it works both ways. Sometimes on summer days one needs the addition of a shade to block solar insolation from entering the window, just as on a cold days one covers the windows to prevent heat from escaping.
Silly skeptic! Dontchaknow that anything that “traps” heat cannot possibly have any cooling properties?

Most of the housing in the region is designed for colder temperatures, so buildings tend to hold heat in rather than shed it.
They really do say anything and make it up as they go along.

These alarmista have zero practical common sense. !

Hard to believe, but yes. Among CAGW enthusiasts this sort of thing actually passes for rare and refined “science”. I am starting to think that the movie “Idiocracy” may have been a documentary.

Now the real challenge is ahead: Can we forgive those who deceived us for seventy years (1946-2016) about the source of energy that destroyed Hiroshima in a sincere effort to save themselves and society from worldwide nuclear annihilation described in the last paragraph of Aston’s Noble Lecture on 12 Dec 1922?
Forgiveness is probably the best way to move forward in the evolution of mankind and the best way to avoid a social revolution that might return humanity to the Stone Age.
I don’t need your graphs to tell me that. My tomatoes know that we’ve had more than our share of cool summers. Tomatoes like it hot.

It is not really that complicated! Global warming causes warming except when it causes cooling. Climate scientists takes care of the cooling, by ignoring it or adjusting it out of existence. Not that complicated at all! Nothing a few skyscrapers, a 12 lane highway and several jumbo jets can’t handle!

Hopefully, the loss of what was (at times) a semblance of a conservative majority will cause Republicans and Independents to flood the polls in record numbers this November. (assuming that the current Senate leader has the backbone to actually ignore pressure to rush through an Obama nominee yet this year).
We moved back to Wisconsin about ten years ago; we turn the a/c on 3-5 days each Summer; last Summer we actually had six 90+F days +++ zero 95+F days. That was a lot — we had been averaging two 90+F days. Interestingly enough, four of the 90+F days occurred in August. For the month our average highs were 78.8F or 1.87F below normal. We had another delightful Summer.
