Megyn Kelly’s Trump University Fraud

Screenshot 2016-03-05 at 03.32.00 AM

Megyn Kelley claimed that Trump University was rated a D- by the Better Business Bureau, and defrauded 5,000 people. As is normally the case with journalists, she wildly misrepresented the facts.

The first web archive capture in 2012 was rated C+. They had 19 customer complaints and resolved all but two.

I get mails all the time for being a member of class action suits which I know nothing about. That is how crooked lawyers work.

I think Trump did an amazing job keeping his cool in the face of withering attacks from both his political opponents and the bloodthirsty “moderators”.

  2. scruffy says:

Trump, in trying to defend a scam called Trump “University,” brings up the red herring that he had a 98 rating with the BBB. When others check that, to see that his scam university was often rated very poorly, his sycophants turn and defend him for blatantly lying. No amount of mocking the disabled, rating women by whether he would sleep with them, promising that he will force the military to commit war crimes, changing his positions on immigration (3 times in one week), and hiding his tax returns and college transcripts can cause his followers to question his ability to lead.

  3. Steve Case says:

In 1980 the press piled on Ronald Reagan. Back then I listened to what the press said. So I didn’t vote for Reagan in the primary.
Having said that I am reminded of John Coleman’s recent post over on WhatsUpWithThat?

The team of experts who have devoted their professional lives to keeping us informed about earth quakes, wild fires, tsunamis, polluted air, drought, drinking water … and how we must be alert and prepared, etc.
In California alarmism is a way of life. As an old man I have finally learned to ignore them all and enjoy life.

The “Main Stream Press” lies about so much so often that it just doesn’t pay to listen to them anymore.

  4. stjones911 says:

You can see through Hansen and Mann, but you can’t see through Trump. Confirmation bias perhaps?

  5. Drcrinum says:

In addition to MSM bias which strongly favors the Democrat Party and feminism, perhaps part of the explanation is ‘reverse racism’. The MSM can launch into a ‘verbal attack mode’ against Trump with impunity because he is white and most especially when the attacker is female — does anyone ever recall a single instance when the MSM went into a ‘verbal attack mode’ against Obama in a debate or press conference or media interview? If your answer is the Rev. Wright debacle, well…was the exchange conducted in ‘verbal attack mode’ or was it done with pleasantries to permit him to escape without egg on his face?

  6. cartman says:

You happened to miss the 5000 complaints that are currently in the justice system..

  7. Pathway says:

Mygen Kelly is no longer a journalist as she has become the story rather than a reporter of the facts. Will never watch her again.

  8. markstoval says:

You are watching the ruling elite (some call them the “deep state”) stop a fellow they don’t trust to follow orders. Trump looks to be a “loose cannon”. The ruling elite need someone who can be relied upon to make war all over the globe and thus keep the economy moving. (that is their idea, not my own)

There is a populist revolt going on in both parties. In the Republican Party we see Donald Trump getting out front of the populist parade and riding that anger for all its worth. Note that he did not start the revolt, but he is using that revolt to his advantage.

We have wars all over the globe and are wasting Trillions upon Trillions killing 3rd world villagers when we should protect our own borders and say to hell with [name latest backward country here].

Trump will be stopped. If some KKK bullshit with David Duke does not do it, then something else. If absolutely necessary assassination will be used as it has in the past. Your masters require the military industrial complex to be fed. Trump is not a reliable servant of the masters. He must be eliminated.

    • Jason Calley says:

Hey markstoval! “Note that he did not start the revolt, but he is using that revolt to his advantage.”

Both parties have been lying to their supporters for so long that they (the party leaders) cannot now believe that the masses are no longer willing to believe the lies. They are in a panic — and panicked people are dangerous.

There’s also a BBB rating on Trump University’s CD set sold by Nightingale Conont based in Niles, IL:

    The Wealth Builder’s Action Plan
Take a decisive step toward the wealth you dream of!
    By Trump University
    CD Version – 19 CDs/3 CD-ROMs/Success Kit

    • Craig Tevis says:

For those not following the links, the BBB gave Trump University a D- in 2010 and the Trump University “Wealth Builder’s Action Plan” CD set an F. Steve and the others here claiming the MSM is committing fraud are only looking at the data that supports their assumptions.

The “Wealth Builder’s Action Plan” was selling about the same thing that Trump is now trying to sell to the nation:

“A secure retirement … a second home …a business of your own … the ability to never worry about having “enough money.” Whatever your financial goals may be, one thing is certain: if you really want to reach them, you must have a plan. The Wealth Builder’s Action Plan is an action-oriented system specifically designed to support and guide you on your way to building the wealth you dream of.”

“The sooner you start taking real action on your dreams of wealth, the sooner they’ll become your reality. So take the first step today … order The Wealth Builder’s Action Plan!”

    • I don’t see anything in your BBB link which indicates it is actually associated with Trump.
It also says “No complaints filed with BBB”

You are making a bunch of accusations without providing any evidence.

  10. omanuel says:

I may be wrong, but my impression is

    1. Ted Cruz and the Tea Party Movement want to restore the US Government described in the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

    2. Donald Trump loves himself more than he loves the US Government described in the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

  11. Cruz is the closest to Reagan we can get in the current race!

  12. Since passage of the Nixon anti-libertarian law, I doubt many people capable of simplifying a fraction put a lot of stock in either of the big boodling parties or their presstitutes’ prounouncements. That would, of course, make the relatively well-educated an outvoted minority.

  13. Ok, so if it was such a great school then why is it out of business and he has a 100+ lawsuits pending and he said he doesn’t settle but yes he does. The man is a pathological lier and clueless.

  14. Ya someone should ask the loud mouth why he has not dispersed the 6million dollars he supposedly raised for the Veterans. You know, when Trump chickened out on one of the Fox debates and didn’t want to get picked on by Ms Kelly. Ya that’s the makings of a commander and chief, not!! Anyway I just saw that now it’s been over a month since he collected this money and only 800,000 has been sent out, hummm.

  15. Cronos12 says:

For those who don’t know… the better business bureau is not a government bureau but a private company that essentially extort companies for money. The BBB let’s anyone file complaints about a company, but the company has to pay to join the BBB in order to dispute those claims. Companies who have bad ratings are companies who didn’t pay up.

The BBB is a scam and should not be a reference point for anything.

  16. John B., M.D. says:

    BBB statement today: http://www.bbb.org/council/news-events/news-releases/2016/03/statement-by-better-business-bureau-serving-metropolitan-new-york-and-council-of-better-business-bureaus/
Key passage: “6. During the period when Trump University appeared to be active in the marketplace, BBB received multiple customer complaints about this business. These complaints affected the Trump University BBB rating, which was as low as D- in 2010. As the company appeared to be winding down, after 2013, no new complaints were reported. Complaints over three years old automatically rolled off of the Business Review, according to BBB policy. As a result, over time, Trump University’s BBB rating went to an A in July 2014 and then to an A+ in January 2015.”
