Yep, it’s winter and the alarmists will have to talk about something else going on somewhere else because nobody but idiots believe their Polar Vortex crap!

    • Andy DC says:

Yes, it it hard for people to buy into the notion that a very rare snowfall in Brownsville and Corpus Christi was caused by global warming.

If Joe Bastardi is correct then it’s going to happen again and reach down along the NE coast of Mexico into the citrus growing region.

On the basis of these maps I predict a mad rush of people from the Florida region desperately trying to escape the heat and heading for sanctuary cooler climates in places like Illinois and Iowa.

  4. John F. Hultquist says:

Out here in central Washington State it is not seriously cold, but mostly just below freezing.
Serious cold comes when the Arctic air mass pushes over the Columbia Mountains of B.C. and the Bitterroot Mountains. Then the cold air flows down slope into the central part of Washington to the valley of the Columbia River. That’s 1,600 feet or so. With a strong enough push the cold makes it to us on the west side of the River. That’s above 2,200 feet. Bitter cold arrives.
When this cold air is in-place, and winds from the south and south east follow, a phenomena called “cold-air damming” (CAD) can happen and the lee side of the Cascades becomes a snow dump.

For weather-geeks, this is interesting to watch.
It doesn’t look to be happening in the next 2 weeks.
    That’s just fine with us.

Off topic I know, but Drudge picked this story up…Nobody bothered to ask why the Romans would build a city underwater. /s
