“No Political Bias”

The IG says there was no political bias influencing the actions of the FBI.

August 8, 2016 text exchange in which Page asked Strzok “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!” and Strzok replied “No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it”

You really can’t make this stuff up …..

They were talking about Comey not having political bias from what I have read. No matter it’s pure BS! Nothing goes on in the DC sewer that isn’t political. I should have smelled a rat when every one of them described Horowitz as having impeccable integrity. According to Sundance at https://theconservativetreehouse.com/
“Important note. Read, but don’t focus on, the “executive summary” or “conclusions”; those two sections were written by political administrators in FBI and DOJ leadership. Focus on the substance of the documented facts within the IG report. You’ll note the specific facts don’t support the “summary/conclusion”.

IOW it’s an attempt to whitewash. The problem is that too many facts are out there that they can’t cover up. I agree with Rush’s initial take that this attempted whitewash will just fire up people even more and it will be reflected at the polls this November. Mueller’s already on the negative side of approval.

You can find the pdf for the whole 548 page report there.

The main thing this accomplishes is numerous facts are put forth that will be hard to refute. The conclusions written by others in the executive summary are matters of opinion. One key is that the IG was appointed by Ozero so that nobody can effectively claim that he is politically biased against demonrats.

The IG report is not meant to bring any charges, but the IG has been working with Huber who can and will bring charges. But the scope of wrongdoing is just so big that it will take time for people to get their heads around it.

When charges are brought, the cases against those charged will be pretty much airtight. Hard to wait, but I would certainly imagine before November or it won’t have much value. There is a classified appendix that us mere mortals cannot yet see.

      • RAH says:

The leftist press will be reporting the summary and conclusions and the rest of us will be pointing at the details.

      • Squidly says:

Neal, you certainly are optimistic that people will actually be charged. Unfortunately, I do not share your optimism. In fact, I would be willing to bet that nobody of any significance will be charged with anything, let alone be convicted.

        • neals says:

I will admit that your strategy has some redeeming qualities. If nobody significant gets charged, then you can take comfort in having had an accurate prediction. If some people of significance do get charged, then even though you were wrong about that, you can delight that some justice may yet be done.

(Sort of like if somebody enjoyed sports, they might bet against their favorite team, so that no matter what, they would either win their bet, or their team would win)

As I pointed out on CTH they have done EXACTLY the same thing as they do with IPCC reports. The bureaucrats have written the executive summary to make it politically palatable. ( In this case other bureaucrats than those that wrote the main report).

      • Colorado Wellington says:

Ross, that was my first thought when I read it.

It also resembles the abstracts of many scientific papers that cite the threat of “climate change” which is completely unsupported by the actual content of those papers.

    • I’ve read most of the Report,
      and here is the summary
      of my analysis:

      SUMMARY:
      The Justice Department
      Office of Inspector General’s
      Report’s has detailed findings
of political bias in the FBI
      … that contrast sharply
      with the Report’s
      unreasonably
      mild conclusion
      that no political bias
      was found in documents,
      and no one would admit
      to political bias …
but there is a lot of
      obvious political bias
      in the Report details!

      The Bad News:
      Obama’s FBI management had
      strong pro-Democrat political bias,
      that affected a justified
      investigation of Hillary Clinton,
      and unjustified investigation
      of Donald Trump, both before
      the 2016 election.

      The Good News:
      Obama’s FBI management
      was so incompetent,
      that while trying to help
      Hillary Clinton win an election,
      they inadvertently
      helped her lose!

  2. Douglas Hoyt says:

No political bias? It is kind of like a fish claiming there is no evidence for water.

Anybody from the outside can see it, just not those within DC.

  3. TA says:

Trump ought to ask his new friend Kim Jung un if he would supply Trump with a copy of Hillary’s private email server. The report says foreign actors accessed her email server. Maybe we can get copies of those 33,000 emails Hillary illegally destroyed.

And it looks like Comey also had a private email address he used. I wonder if any foreign actors gained access to his email. Did he put classified documents on his Gmail account? Curious people want to know.

And it says that dozens of FBI agents were bribed by members of the news media to leak information to them.

The Republicans in Congress need to press these investigations because noone else is going to do it. They especially need to bring pressure to bear on those in the Justice Department who are stonewalling Congress and keeping them from seeing pertinent documents. Congress needs to impeach some people at Justice. They need to send the message that you cannot obstruct Congress in its oversight duties.

People need to go to jail. We need to set an example.

    • RAH says:

To hell with jail. Make me King for a week and I’ll set up a Guillotine or two or three or maybe a dozen at the base of the Washington Monument and keep them busy 24/7. Really I would rather pull a Vlad the Impaler but that would be politically incorrect.

  4. Douglas Hoyt says:

It seems the IG report shows there was collusion between the FBI and Clinton in order to defeat Trump. There is a stronger case for that collusion than for any Trump-Russia collusion.

  5. Bob G says:

Here is how it works. Jail for Manafort and Cohen is next. A book deal for Obama, Hillary and Comey. And what comes next is a Republican gain of seats this fall and then Trump ends the Mueller madness. Trump landslide in 2020.
