It’s because the Arctic is “burning up!”.

  2. billtoo says:

some of the northeast has been beating their previous record colds by double digits. couldn’t happen to a smugger group of libtards.

    • Jason Calley says:

Hey billtoo! If next year’s fall and winter (2019 – 2020) are even a little bit warmer than this year (2018 – 2019), all we will hear from the CAGW alarmists will be “THE WORLD IS BURNING! THIS FALL AND WINTER ARE FIVE DEGREES HOTTER THAN LAST YEAR!! FIVE DEGREES HOTTER IN A SINGLE YEAR!!!”

    • Ernest Bush says:

Hopefully it will help them see the folly of closing down perfectly good electrical generating plants as they freeze to death. But it’s not likely. If I recall correctly the northeast almost ran out of natural gas supplies last winter and an ice breaker was needed to get the barges up the river.

Just think, an EPA under Hillary would have banned using fireplaces to keep warm in the northeast. I guess they wanted to make pellets to ship to England to generate electricity, instead.

-8 F this AM in Sauquoit, NY. I’ll bet the Black Friday lines were very short last night. Wouldn’t know for sure – I was in a turkey coma.

  4. Mr GrimNasty says:

We did actually have a transient covering of wet snow on the south coast of England a few days back. Quite unusual, although we have occasionally had snow in October. We average about 7 days lying snow a year so all snow is pretty rare – what tends to happen is no real snow for years and then a ‘big freeze’ bumps up the average. Overall November has been milder than average for us though.

-19 Here in Lake Placid NY This am coldest on record for this date -3 in 1929

    • Tom Bakert says:

Hi, JM. My wife loves Lake Placid in the winter. We try to get there once a year or so and stay at the Crowne Plaza on the hill. it’s only a 4 hour drive and the return drive to and down the Northway is great. Lake George is a perfect stop for lunch.

  6. AmdyDC says:

With many cities averaging 8-10 degrees below normal for November and a cold last week coming up, I strongly suspect many US cities will have their coldest November on record.

  7. R2Dtoo says:

But it won’t be a “cold region”. It will be a “warm hole” like the entire SE US. They can’t even use the label “cold”.
