Texas Sized Climate Lies

Texas climate experts say they want to “school” Governor Abbott about how global warming causes heavy rain in Texas.

Texas scientists want to school Governor Greg Abbott on climate | Grist

Seven years ago during a drought, the same group of climate experts said Texas would be hot and dry for the rest of the century, and they ridiculed Governor Perry for pointing out the obvious – the rains would return.

“we’ll be fine. As my dad says, it’ll rain. It always does.”

– Texas Governor Rick Perry  Summer, 2011

“The weather of the 21st century will be very much like the hot and dry weather of 2011. Giving extra credibility to this forecast is the fact that the weather extremes that we are presently experiencing were predicted in the first edition in 1995.”

Rick Perry was correct.  Since 2011, Texas has been having some of their wettest years on record.

The frequency of hot days in Texas has been declining for 110 years – 2011 was a hot outlier, just as 2007 was a cool outlier. Rick Perry’s statement was based on long term observation, whereas the climate experts based their junk science on a single short term weather event.

Now these same climate experts have reversed their story – based on another single, short term weather event.

Texas holds many rainfall records, set in 1871, 1921, 1935, and 1979. Including the world record fifteen minute rainfall in 1871.

In 1886 Texas was hit by four hurricanes, including one which wiped Indianola, Texas off the map permanently.

There seems to be no limit to the incompetence, arrogance and dishonesty of climate scientists. And they are attempting to drive the United States into energy poverty with their ceaseless lies.

What’s the difference between climate scientists and flat earthers ? Absolutely nothing.

    • arn says:

The flatearthers are considered looney conspiracy theorist
and have to pay for the shit they promote
while the climate scientists are considered philantrophic saviours of the world and get shit tons of money.

It’s a huge difference when you have to pay for stupidities
instead of being paid for them.

The governor should accept their request and demand they bring their sources and all supporting data with them and inform them. The inform them that since the issue is controversial and in question that the meeting will be set up in a debate form with those with opposing views to respond and present their own data and sources. Of course Tony Heller, Dr. Tim Ball, and other such authorities will be present on the opposing team.

If I were governor that is what I would do because it would almost certainly result in a scene very much like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FPELc1wEvk

And the Alarmists wouldn’t be trying that BS again. They are deathly afraid of real face to face debate.

Hey Tony. How about naming your “dream team” for the “deniers” in such a scenario?

So an even mix between academically certified scientists and lawyers/ advocates that have proven especially effective at making the case. Interesting.

We just moved to Van Alstyne Texas (wide spot in the road 45 min north of Dallas) from my ancestral home in the central valley of California. I can attest that we have more rain in two days in Texas than we averaged over a year in Bakersfield. There is water accumulated EVERYWHERE in north Texas. Where there isn’t a rain forest there is a river or lake or spots were folks have hacked out a place to build something. Amazing how Marxists boldly make claims that are so easily prove to be lies. It is difficult to dispute them since their methods are so contrary to decent civilized norms. The normal response of decent people is to assume they are honest. You catch yourself thinking maybe their claims might be true.

Just finished reading Al Roker’s book “The Storm of the Century” about the September 8, 1900 Galveston hurricane that left an estimated 10,000 dead. A lot about that storm is estimated in round numbers, like the death toll and the 200 mph wind, because there is no way to really know for certain. It was just bad weather in 1900, but a repeat in 2019 would be labelled “climate change” and result in another letter from the signatories to the above mentioned letter.

And was the cold weather in the mid-west that prevented Harvey from moving quickly out of Texas climate change also? Climate change: it can mean anything you want it to mean.

Thankfully today, any one with a brain would be off that island when a really monster major approached. Sea wall or no sea wall. However many of those casualties occurred inland after the storm came into the mainland.
