Do As I Am Told To Say, Not As I Do

(4) Tony Heller on Twitter: “@GretaThunberg All of which would be impossible without the fossil fuel infrastructure you have been told to try to destroy. You are standing in front of a verdant field which is full of life – and talking about an imaginary apocalypse which exists only in your mind.” / Twitter

  1. Klaus says:

Without fossil fuels there would be no iron nor steel nor concrete not even roads of asphalt. She couldn’t even use a mobil phone nor the social media.

    • Noel Herron says:

Don’t forget about cloths , water supply , food ,heat, medicine etc. In short A wee lassie like her would not survive.

  2. Mr Sir says:

    Being intimidated by a teenager.

    • Gator says:

Sorry to hear the older kids at he playground are being so mean to you. But keep laughing away the tears Ms Ma’am, your mother will love you no matter how stupid and ugly you are.

    • arn says:

Noone is intimidated by a teenagers
but disgusted by your new idol and Führer
who somehow eats and travels all around the world
without ever worked a day in her life.

      A bit strange,isn’t it?
I would expect some kind of amish lifestyle and not
some hightech covered with an eco vail.

Watch the video “No climare emergency say 500 scientists to UN”.
It is short and easy to understand even for you.

    • Mac says:

I doubt it. There is a difference between being intimidated and mocking a mentally ill teenager’s utter stupidity. When a paranoid, totalitarian, and poorly educated young woman has captured the attention of the global left, it’s only natural to provide a rebuttal to her delusions and leftist lies. The problem really is that lefties are so out of control that they actually listen to this spoiled little ignorant brat.

In the future, try not to use your Alinsky spin on totally natural and reasonable responses to leftist mental illness.

    • tonyheller says:

Every conversation I have with leftists further convinces me that they are incapable of civil, rational or honest discussion.

    • Cam says:

If you don’t want your opinion challenged, don’t voice it. Being a teenager has nothing to do with it.

    • Joel says:

Actually, one side of this debate is being spotlighted by a teenager, and not a very intellectually compelling one. So sorry for you all.

    • Scissor says:

I don’t think she is intimidating.

Paying some attention to her is about mocking the movement. This girl is unfortunately being used, however, she seems to be so willingly. Sad what “climate science” has become.

    • Disillusioned says:

Without her cue cards, impromptu, she does not appear to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

  3. Henning Nielsen says:

At least it is nice to see her smiling!

  4. Noel Herron says:

As a old soldier (British Ranger) I have lived in a few places with little or no support, its bloody difficult to keep going. If you lined up 100 civilian and deprived them of all the benefits of fossil fuels 25 % would be lucky to survive more than 60 day (thats roughly how long it take to starve to death, which I have witnessed) . A simple scratch can kill you and their is no forgiveness of mistakes in nature , no MSM to push your propaganda without industry. This such awful BS.

    • Robertv says:

Most of her generation have no idea how many adults it needs working day and night in every kind of weather so that things always work. It is tremendously difficult to make the light switch work. If they really want to grow old they should shut up learn skills and let the adults do their work.

      • Noel Herron says:

Well said , I have lived like an animal on operations ,it’s really awful, wet a hungry and tired all the time , filthy. For most going back to the 17th century technology would mean a real mass extinction event theirs. Give me that wee lassies father for 10 days and I will garantee that he will have a different out look.

  5. D. Boss says:

Holy cow batman! Now she’d been elevated to Messiah status:

    Successor to Jesus Christ!?!

So it really is a deadly religious cult – causing harm to whole generations. And Sainthood isn’t good enough – they have crowned a new Messiah!

Overcoming that level of lunatic programming and brainwashing is not going to be an easy task.

Keep demolishing their manure spreaders, Tony!

  6. James Snook says:

The British Government declared a ‘Climate Emergency’ and passed legislation to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050 immediately after having talked to a sixteen year old who is a single issue obsessive and sees CO2 in the atmosphere, plus members of the ‘Extinction Revolution’ whose co-founder was driven to create it after going on a retreat with hallucinogenic drugs.

    The world has gone mad.

  7. Bob Hoye says:

Regarding your tweet about your mother’s instruction.
During the War it was “Robert, clean up your plate, think of all of the thousands of starving people in China.”
Then I met a Prof, who was older and as a boy lived in luxury in Shanghai. Maids, housekeeper, driver for the car–the whole thing.
    The instruction was:
“Arthur, clean up your plate, think of all of the thousands of starving people in Honan Province.”
And without the modern economy and China’s relatively open markets in the southern provinces there still would be the risk of localized famine.

  8. xenomoly.bloom says:

Be careful. Challenging the climate saint will likely get you booted from Twitter. I got booted from Twitter for the last time by making the comment to an activist: “You will eventually die – most likely from cancer or heart disease. No one dies from climate. You likely will not die from climate – especially since you live in a first world nation.” That would seem to me to be a reasonable thing to say – but apparently it is considered targeted harassment. I guess telling someone that they are not going to die from the end of the world is a bit too spicy for Twitter.

  9. tom0mason says:

And how many children’s lives are destroyed by mining operations as they’re worked as slaves in these operations. What are these children’s dreams?
I’m pretty sure these children in the Congo, DRC, etc., mining minerals to make solar panels and EV batteries are the ones who’ve had their childhood stolen, and are not represented by some white, wealthy, brat-actor boating around the world making UN speeches.
How dare these the UN allow slavery on these children.
How dare the UN only talk about money while these children die so that western nations kids can have cheap phones, and talk about a ‘Climate Crisis™’ and ‘Climate Anxiety™’ on Farsebook and twits-R-us nonsense.

  10. Florence says:

It’s distressing to read how many adults are triggered by her words and deeds. Not to mention how mean their comments can be. Ignore her. Then she won’t be news and she will go away. It’s that easy.
That said I can understand the controversy around use/not use fossil fuels. To paraphrase Buckmeister Fuller: you change a system by inventing a new one, thereby making the old one obsolete. The technologies are there, all that’s needed is to develop them.

    • Gator says:

Florence, will the MSM ignore her? No? Then she isn’t going away.

As for renewables, when I was ignorant of the science involved, I too thought we could transition away from fossil fuels. But that just is not in the cards for now. The technology has not evolved to that point, not even after the trillions of dollars that we invested in it. Renewables will be viable someday, but only when they no longer need massive government support. And even then we will still need fossil fuels.

    • Robert Austin says:

The technologies are definitely not there unless you are talking about nuclear energy. So let’s not pretend that a future without fossil fuels is as simple as developing throwing money at green wet dreams.

  11. Hulley says:

The poor girl obviously has certain qualities that were spotted by her abusers to suit their agenda – a girl specially selected and suitable for grooming.
A girl who is sixteen years of age but has been deliberately groomed to have the appearance of a girl of eleven or twelve with her ‘little girl’ ponytail.
A poor girl who, through no fault of her own, suffers from the developmental disorder, Asperger Syndrome. Her disorder has been flagrantly appropriated by her parents and others to appeal to her peers and to push their agenda.
Many people with Asperger Syndrome have ‘highly focused interests’ as mentioned on website :

Many people with Asperger syndrome have intense and highly-focused interests, often from a fairly young age. These can change over time or be lifelong, and can be anything from art or music, to trains or computers. An interest may sometimes be unusual. One person loved collecting rubbish, for example. With encouragement, the person developed an interest in recycling and the environment.
Many channel their interest into studying, paid work, volunteering, or other meaningful occupation. People with Asperger syndrome often report that the pursuit of such interests is fundamental to their wellbeing and happiness’.

In my opinion, it seems obvious to me that Greta’s parents spotted a certain interest that she had as a small child and groomed that interest for THEIR benefit and not hers.
People with Asperger Syndrome tend to have average or above average intelligence, and obviously one of Greta’s gifts is the ability to remember certain scripts that she has been ‘fed’ to her. She does appear to be ‘robotic’.
Without those scripts, as you, June, mentioned above, Greta is lost, looks overwhelmed and appears to have signs of anxiety. These again are traits exhibited by people with Asperger Syndrome – the world can seem a very confusing place to them.
Are Greta’s parents happy to see their child exploited in this way to enhance their fame and the agenda of the LIE of ‘man made climate change’ ?
How do they sleep at night ?
You only have to do a little research to see who are behind Greta’s parents backing them in every way, and inevitably the ultimate backer at the top is good old George Soros who, as we know, does not care who he manipulates, uses and abuses to get his way.
I feel not only very sad for Greta but also for children of her age, and younger, who are being manipulated and indoctrinated by some parents and particularly by liberal Lefty teachers, and others.
They spoonfeed this blatant propaganda of the LIE of ‘man made climate change’ to vulnerable children which scares them and causes them needless anxiety and worry and takes away the innocence of their childhood.
Do some research and study, as I have, to check on actual climate data from the past and present to glean the truth of how and why the complex climate has changed and is changing. There are many drivers of climate and ‘man’ has very little or no affect and is certainly not the major driver that we are told by the biased mainstream media. ‘Man’ has no control whatsoever over the patterns of climate change, and if anything should be done is preparation for change and not trying to control the climate which cannot be done.
This claim of cutting the use of fossil fuels to control any global temperature rise is a nonsense and the tactics of the mainstream media using poor Greta and the cuddly-looking polar bears to ‘tug on the heartstrings’ and as tools to support their lies and agenda is sad and pathetic (polar bear numbers are overall on the increase).
Man made climate change’ is not about science, data and the truth, it is about money, politics and control.
