Thanks for the clarification on the sea ice graph and 1960 start date. I appreciate that you pay attention to comments and feedback. I’m clear now.

  2. More FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) spread by PBS based on anecdotal evidence. Really? Less than a one in 10 chance you need car insurance over a lifetime? Hardly, statistics say you’ll file a claim every 18 years of driving. Can’t even get that right.

A claim for WHAT? A bent bumper or total write off? Very different scenarios with very different economic outcomes. Insurance companies exist for one reason only – to make profits for their shareholders by charging people more than they get back by exploiting their fear of catastrophe. Of course we only see that in the insurance industry. No evidence it happens in other areas of media or climate science.

Same with compulsory third-party insurance. In my lifetime I’ve paid wasted over $10k on that BS and never needed it, which isn’t as much as most. I gave up on registration et. al. years ago. Many people have been sitting in wheelchairs waiting years for their payout. It’s a BS system. If there’s a pedestrian under my car or bike it was obviously where it shouldn’t have been in the first place.

You guys have lived charmed lives. I have had 4 cars totalled (2 by uninsured drivers – in TX we have quite a few uninsured and without consequences), a car stolen, wheels stolen, car vandalized, and hail damage twice.
3 roofs and gutters, 4 windows due to hail.
          I won’t go into heailth
          Insurance always paid

Thanks to Tony’s work, my BS detector was constantly going off throughout that video. Unfortunately, most just believe the propaganda.
