There Is No Climate Crisis

The Washington Post says the world will end in 12 years.

Ocasio-Cortez says the world will end in 12 years. She is absolutely right. – The Washington Post

And the New York Times says it is time to panic.

NYT Opinion on Twitter: “Panic might seem counterproductive,

But their claims are nonsense. There is no climate crisis. There is no ocean acidification crisis. There is no extinction crisis.

The greatest expansion of life on Earth occurred 540 million years ago, when CO2 was at its peak. Atmospheric CO2 levels were more than 15 times higher than they are now. Corals and shellfish evolved during that time.  If ocean acidification was a real problem, there would have been no sea life, rather than a massive expansion of life in the oceans..

Earth is getting greener as CO2 increases.

Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds | NASA

The reason we have coal beds, is because there used to be a lot more atmospheric CO2, which made earth very green.  This greenery turned into thick peat beds, which turned into coal.

CO2 makes plants grow faster and makes them use less water. It does not make them go extinct. As CO2 emissions have increased, crop yields have increased with them.

“Scientists say” that sea level is rising faster than at any time in the last 2,800 years.

Seas are now rising faster than they have in 2,800 years, scientists say – The Washington Post

This is in direct contradiction to the 1990 IPCC report, which said there was no convincing evidence of an acceleration of sea level rise during the 20th century.

1990 IPCC Report

If sea level rise rates were accelerating, tide gauge graphs around the world would be non-linear with an upwards curvature.  Water seeks a level surface, so any nonlinear “response” would be seen globally.  There is no evidence of an upwards curvature in any long-term tide gauge.

Sea level rose very quickly until about 8,000 years ago, and has been rising much more slowly since then.  But climate alarmists want you to believe that the last few millimeters are man-made.

The lack of acceleration in sea level rise also tells us that Arctic melt is not accelerating. The only thing which has changed is the data, which has been massively tampered with by government agencies.

Even if there was a CO2 driven climate crisis, climate treaties don’r make any difference – because developing countries are building hundreds of coal fired power plants.

There is no climate crisis, but there is a crisis of climate superstition, fraud, incompetence, and censorship.  And it is being used to terrify children and threaten the future of western civilization.

Hey Tony, while you are doing a fantastic job of exposing the climate fraud, I haven’t seen you mention this confirmed NOAA data tampering.

  2. xenomoly says:

Holy Cow – great synopsis. It would be nice if the powers that be did not want to run this scam – but I doubt they will be stopped.

  3. Disillusioned says:

    Excellent post.

Hard core believers won’t take time to read it and understand, but it is the kind of post that could crack the fragile paradigm of the average believer.

  4. Cornelius says:

Obviously, the use of fear and panic is just the latest in a long line of psychological tactics on the population. Not sure where they’ll go beyond this.

  5. paul courtney says:

Mr. Heller: I wonder if S. Borenstein will ever tire of looking for space on Hansen’s butt that he hasn’t kissed twice.
I’ll hit the tip jar, though I’m not able to do enough to keep you from (shudder) engineering. Serious suggestion- find a congressman (R) skeptic, contact the office to see if there’s any consult $ available. I think 10 minutes helping staffers grasp any set of charts you show in so many articles here would help immensely, but if it’s consulting, try to make it last 10 months!

  6. Gamecock says:

‘The Washington Post says the world will end in 12 years.’

Wouldn’t it be great if the world would go ahead and end so we can get on with our lives?

  7. G W Smith says:

Great post, Tony! If THEIR world ended in 12 years I wouldn’t mind at all. If only they could read.

  8. Taphonomic says:

WaPo sez: “We need to start NOW, to cut carbon emissions aggressively, or by 2030 we may have passed a tipping point beyond which the planet, and yes you people living on it, is in for a world of possibly permanent hurt.”

Why are they telling us? The USA HAS cut emissions. They need to tell China who has massively increased emissions and continues to increase emissions as allowed by the Paris accords.

  9. Johan says:

What is the source of the graph with your text “Biggest explosion of sealife”?

  10. Norilsk says:

CO2 has failed to prevent the Remebrance Day snow storm here in southern Ontario, as it will fail to warm the planet. The snowfall projections have grown evermore apocalyptic and are ecpected to break the record for the day, growing from 10-15 cm, to 15-20 cm, to the latest for Hamilton of 20-30 cm. By tomorrow morning, they are expecting a record low of -9 C. The Norfolk County record of -8 C has held since 1877.

    • Steve says:

it already is … 13 degrees in Chicago overnight on Veterans Day – after our 2nd snowstorm of 4″ so far. We also had snow accumulation in late April this year.
Neither has happened in the 25 years I’ve lived here

  15. Bruce of Newcastle says:

No one has yet managed to explain to me why snow extent on average is unchanged for two decades if the Earth is frying.

Maybe CO2 increases the melting point of water. /s

  16. Robert Gipson says:

There is a labeling error in the otherwise accurate “Post-Glacial Sea Level Rise” graph: In the graph’s upper-right-hand corner, in blue it says “Man-Made,” which is a baseless assumption. The blue print instead should read “Industrial Era.”

  17. Robert Gipson says:

Re: the final graph above, “Atmospheric CO2 at Mauna Loa Observatory,” it is relevant to point out that Mauna Loa is an active volcano that continuously spews CO2. The “scientists” use a “fudge factor” to supposedly correct (adjust for) the amount of CO2 emitted by the volcano, so that we can all (not) rest assured that the measurements reflect atmospheric CO2 levels, and we can blithely ignore that the CO2 measuring station is located at a CO2-generating volcano.

  18. Gamecock says:

From link Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds | NASA:

‘An international team of 32 authors from 24 institutions in eight countries led the effort, which involved using satellite data from NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer instruments to help determine the leaf area index, or amount of leaf cover, over the planet’s vegetated regions.’

Your tax dollars at work. One graduate student could have done it. In fact, one graduate student probably did, and all the rest glommed on.

  19. CheshireRed says:

    According to Wiki….

    Ocean CO2 content 39,000 Gtc
    Atmospheric CO2 content 750 Gtc

That’s less than 2% of ocean o2 in the atmosphere, yet it’s driving ‘ocean acidification’? Sure, whatever they say.

  20. Steve says:

So here’s the truth with regards to the recent hysteria:

Leftists know they are only a couple states away from a permanent majority. So the indoctrinated kids come home from schools and tell their climate ignorant parents about the impending doom.
They are banking that the hysteria will result in a few % points of change in the purple states, NC, CO, VA, FL, NV, etc.
In NC, the democrat governor vetoed a bill to remove illegals from the voter rolls. They’re registering illegals & green card holders when they get drivers licences.

They’re going to the same thing they did in CA to TX, NV, etc.

Once those states turn, it’s balls to the wall socialism and the end of our republic.

  21. KevinPaul says:

Many of the largest crude oil reservoirs in the Middle East and elsewhere round the earth were formed by massive continuous algal blooms in warm shallow seas that occurred when the land was covered by lush rainforests, all due to a CO2 rich atmosphere. Burning fossil fuels just returns it to the atmosphere again completing the cycle.
The crisis is in mens’ minds.

  22. Do you mind if I add some more detail? Your arguments should be accepted everywhere…even so..There are extra reasons that contradict this. I hope so- ty for your consideration.
