Meanwhile, experts blame extreme weather on “rapidly melting Arctic sea ice.”

It is almost like they don’t do any actual research …..

    This is just damn “inconvenient”!

However, I am enjoying the GW we are getting here in Alberta (chinook), after the cold snap we had….day 25 and we are still -4.5C below normal for the month…

Its pretty obvious from what you and various other skeptics have been saying , and the total fakery from the MSM and the Left on Arctic Ice on an ongoing basis, that there is no issue here.

The Left do not want to do any serious research, as this will then mean that they find that the whole basis for CO2 based climate change is very shaky indeed. No, they want to stay in their bubble/safespace, scream that the sky is falling, and propose all sorts of “solutions” to non shrinking Arctic ice etc which are at astronomical cost, are non viable and will destroy our way of life.

At some stage the game will be up but not without serious economic damage. Historians of the future will look back and ask how so many people can have been taken in for so long. But then history is littered with similar examples of mass stupidity, just look at Hitler and the Nazis – he had to attack Poland before the appeasers realised what he was. Churchill was called a warmonger and many thought him mad over his prescient (he was just calling it as it was though) warnings.

In order to show our senators and representatives how “our” government agencies fiddle and fake temperature data, it would be v. helpful if the temperature “adjustments”
charts were in a form that we could readily transmit to them.

  4. Scissor says:

The current extent is at ~97% of 1974’s maximum. I would guess that it will meet or exceed that level within the next couple of months.

    Thanks Toto,
but hate the flashing graph – much too fast to read for old eyes.

If it is that high expect silence from the experts.

  7. Anon says:

Yes, but NASA has already explained that the ice up there now is what they call “Green Ice” or “juvenile” ice, that has not been seasoned.

Ideally, Polar Ice should be seasoned for 2-3 years out in the sun and wind, to rid it of its free-water content. If Polar Ice is formed in the autumn or winter, as is being formed now, it won’t be dry enough until the following year.

Green Ice, due to the free-water residing within it, is less robust than the older seasoned variety, and has a lower caloric value – thus leading to the inevitable build up of creosote in your flue-pipe.

For optimal results, remember the adage: “Cut, Split and Stack!”

Second highest ice extent in a decade? If this keeps up, we may have to reconsider old solutions to this ‘problem’….

Doesn’t matter to the alarmists. They’ll just act like the Arctic is still on the verge of being “virtually ice free”. It’s enough to make a fella wish the AMO would hurry up and go negative just to shut their lying mouths for awhile.
