  1. Am impressed to see all the early newspaper clippings. They could not be more telling: of both past climate events and attitudes at the time. As someone with a background in prehistory and archaeology I struggle with graphs/maths/algorithms but thought you might like data from 400,000 BCE, interglacial, Suffolk, England, ongoing excavation at Barnham, when evidence suggests England was temperate savannah with mixed woodland and fauna including lion, bear, deer and elephant (land bridge to Europe apparently extant at this time), mean July temps thought to be 2-3 degrees above present (p587), this environmental evidence in association with prolific quantities of human flint tool assemblages:
