Hottest Summer On Record In The US

NOAA says this past summer was hotter than 1936.

Summer 2021 Was Hottest on Record in the Contiguous U.S., NOAA Says | The Weather Channel – Articles from The Weather Channel | weather.com

The percent of the US to reach 95F (35C) was well below average and among the lowest on record.

Peak temperatures were much hotter in 1936.

The frequency of hot days this summer was less than half of 1936.

Prior to data tampering, the average maximum temperature was about 3F cooler than 1936.

After data tampering, average maximum temperatures were about 1.5F cooler than 1936.

About 1.5F in adjustments have been made relative to 1936.

Prior to data tampering, the average temperature was a little more than 1F cooler than 1936

After tampering, the 2021 average temperature “barely edged out the Dust Bowl summer of 1936 for the top spot by less than 0.01 of a degree, NOAA said.”

Almost 60% of the data used in the adjusted temperatures is fake.

The NOAA Climate Extremes Index is wildly fraudulent, but makes this definition.

“Unusually hot summers are defined based on daily maximum temperatures.”

During the summer of 1936, the entire US was very hot.

Summer 2021 became the same way the hottest year as Biden became president.

  2. Gamecock says:

Someone please tell NOAA that weather can have extremes. Climate cannot, by definition. ‘Climate Extremes’ is ignorant nonsense.

In the meanwhile. those with mush for brains are fighting nature’s CO2 releases:

    Here’s Nature:

The results indicate that Katla emits 12–24 kilotons of CO 2 per day, which is more than double previous estimates of the emission rate of CO 2 from all volcanic and geothermal sources in Iceland combined (2.7–5.8 kilotons per day).

New facility in Iceland will capture 4,000 tons of CO2 out of atmosphere per year
Most scientists agree cutting our future CO2 emissions won’t be enough to stop global warming from causing catastrophic impacts. A new industry hopes to supplement that by removing from the atmosphere CO2 emissions that already exist. CBS News senior environmental correspondent Ben Tracy has the details.

4 kilotons per year, less than 1/1000th of Nature on the same island.

    what a fraud.

It is hysterical but pathetic that those people who call themselves “Green” are trying to reduce/eliminate the very molecule that makes things green. This alone tells you all you need to know about these mental midgets.

    • Conrad Ziefle says:

This is as stupid as building pyramids to protect the Pharaoh’s soul. It’s a waste of resources, and probably in the end adds more CO2 than it takes out-maybe even much more. No one will be able to tell because the change of CO2 in the atmosphere will be so minimal that it can’t be measured.

They own all the US Feral agencies, it’s now all about lies and disinformation. The constitution is so severly constipated the gangrene looks terminal. The Free World needs a miracle, Michaels return will do it!

  5. Kevin P says:

I have noticed that accuweather has changed how they record and report daily low temps. A low temperature used Tobe the coldest observed temperature on a specific date. Now they report the low as the nighttime temperature sometime before midnight. In the Sierra Nevada we have observed temperatures in the low to mid 30s every day for the past few weeks and yet accuweather is reporting on nighttime lows that are 10F to 15F warmer. This new practice supports the narrative that global warming is not about daytime highs getting hotter, it’s about nighttime lows not being as cold due to heat trapping CO2. They are deliberately trying to compare modern apples to historic oranges and hoping 0eople won’t question the data.

  6. Andrew says:

I’m surprised the data tampering evidence has not been supressed by the ‘guardians’ or at least so deeply buried it becomes inaccessible. The CO2/temperature tamper correlation is a corker.

  7. Conrad Ziefle says:

Even with their data manipulation, they can only barely edge out 1936, which is an admission on their part that there has been no warming trend over the last 85 or so years. They have announced that it was hot, then it cooled, and then it got hot again. Sounds cyclical to me.

  8. Mike Hunger says:

    Hey Tony,
Who can we trust for non-political weather? This junk came from a staff writer with Accu-Weather (irony). Is there ANY weather reporting NOT controlled by the climate change zealots?!!!
I knew you would be responding to this in short order because I have been watching your videos for some time.
    Thanks for what you do!

  9. Torgo says:

1936. One wonders how bad global warming can be lately if it took 85 years to break the heat record that was set when CO2 levels were much lower than in the last few decades.

  10. garboard says:

NOAA must believe that they can make this outrageous claim that flies in the face of hundreds of accounts of the unbelievable heat and subsequent death toll of the summer of 1936 because they know that journalists will do zero research to verify the legitimacy of the claim . 21 all time state records that still stand were set in 1936 ; zero in 2021 . and yet the media will not only believe this story they will magnify it . its a sorry reflection of the current state of journalism . not one of them thinks its their job to investigate the truth . ..its ironic that on the anniversary of 9/11 and the subsequent disastrous decisions that led to the counter productive war in Iraq that was cheered on by the media at the time that the media has learned nothing about trusting government dishonesty . its amazing that not one journalist has the courage to question this clearly bogus claim .

  11. I wonder whether this is fraud or incompetence.

However ‘global mean temperature’ or any other integrated value of temperature over a region is calculated, it must assume a model of the behaviour of the atmosphere.

One approach is a Luneberger observer/Kalman filter approach which explicitly contains an assumed dependency of temperature on CO2. This would be known to the software developers, but due to the insane concerns about maintaining intellectual property rights, not available to the end user, who merely believes the output.

We seem to have gone from GIGO (garbage in, garbage out) to TIGO (truth in, garbage out).

  12. Clyde Spencer says:

“barely edged out the Dust Bowl summer of 1936 for the top spot by less than 0.01 of a degree, NOAA said.”

That implies NOAA is claiming that their averages are precise to the third-place to the right of the decimal point. That is improbable. Further, they don’t indicate what the statistical significance is and whether it is statistically justifiable to claim that the recent temperatures was actually higher than in 1936.

A game that is played is to claim an increase in precision by averaging a large number of readings. That is only justified with stationary data. That is, something that has a fixed value, such as the angle turned by a surveying transit. The fixed value has to be read with the same instrument to eliminate errors of calibration. Then, random variations can be shown to cancel. However, with non-stationary data, that is, a time-series with a trend, every new reading changes the average and does not cancel random variations.

  13. Luke of the D says:

I am an engineer and I work regularly with incomplete historical data. And I can assure you that a real scientist does NOT adjust historic data. They compensate for losses, true enough, but you don’t simply adjust historic data. Most often, you simply state margins of error.

  14. Anon says:

Amazing that we just went through and survived a year worse than the Dust Bowl!
So, in celebration of that, here is an idea for your next outing/ video excursion with Toto et.al. If you are looking for a title for your next video, maybe:

    The Videotapes of Wrath (lol)

Interspersed with a few select quotes from John Steinbeck , possibly.

  16. Spurwing Plover says:

Its quite clear that NOAA needs new faces people who dont have any connections with a some Eco-Freak groups(Greenpeace,Sierra Club,NRDC,Friends of the Earth Etc)and no one who rubs elbows with Gore the Bore
