Artificial Stupidity

“Climate Stability: With carbon emissions eliminated, the Earth’s climate would stabilize over time. Extreme weather events would become less frequent, and vulnerable ecosystems would have a chance to recover.”

    This stupidity is not artificial.

Someone wrote this crap and uploaded it into ShatGPTs memory.
Maybe the Algo is then allowed to reshuffle the points and wordstructure – but that’s the only artificial thing.

Even a very limited AI,starting with 0 corruption bias,
would never be able to come to the conclusion that co2 has anything to do with stable climate,
after analyzing data from the past centuries and all the catastrophies of the sub350 ppm era which are no longer happening.
It would also be impossible for the AI to conclude why out of all gases (+many other significant parameters)
the almost inexistent one in our Atmosphere is supposed to have absolute climate dominance.

  2. Francis Barnett says:

I’m trying to visualise what a “carbon-free world” would actually look and feel like.

“Carbon is a primary component of all known life on Earth, and represents approximately 45–50% of all dry biomass. Carbon compounds occur naturally in great abundance on Earth. Complex biological molecules consist of carbon atoms bonded with other elements, especially oxygen and hydrogen and frequently also nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur ”

I immediately came to the conclusion that it doesn’t know what it is talking about – whatever “it ” is.

carbon-free world, humanity would have successfully mitigated the most pressing threat of climate change, ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future for generations to come.

Seems reminiscent of the quote by an unnamed American Major, reported by journalist Peter Arnett, that “It became necessary to destroy the town to save it.”

    Intentional stupidity.

This should be submitted for nomination for the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction.

  5. Conrad Ziefle says:

In the near future, when people are stupid enough to depend on AI for real information, others will begin hacking people’s personal AI with the intent of inducing them to commit suicide. So far, AI appears to me to be a very noncharismatic Tokyo Rose.

  6. Bert says:

Photosynthesis cycle self-moderates CO2 in the atmosphere, using sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into food. If CO2 levels go below 150 ppm, photosynthesis is stopped, and the plants will not be able to obtain CO2 and will die. If they die, we die, because they make the Oxygen we breathe and the food we eat.

  7. And the fairies and pixies will frolic happily in the meadows and everybody will live in gingerbread houses and live happily ever after.

  8. Richard E Fritz says:

The CO2 Coalition was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) for the purpose of educating thought leaders, policy makers, and the public about the important contribution made by carbon dioxide to our lives and the economy. The Coalition seeks to engage in an informed and dispassionate discussion of climate change, humans’ role in the climate system, the limitations of climate models, and the consequences of mandated reductions in CO2 emissions.
In carrying out our mission, we seek to strengthen the understanding of the role of science and the scientific process in addressing complex public policy issues like climate change. Science produces empirical, measurable, objective facts and provides a means for testing hypotheses that can be replicated and potentially disproven. Approaches to policy that do not adhere to the scientific process risk grave damage to the economy and to science.

to think AL GORE did this for $$$$$$$$$$$$ and power – he really began the SCREAMING at top of his lungs to gain fame and fortune after getting a D- in his class with a REAL Scientist Professor Revelle

    • DD More says:

At Vanderbilt divinity school, Algore, over the course of three semesters, failed five of his eight classes.
But looks like he did pass “Hellfire & Damnation Preaching.”

  9. AI separates signal from noise by being trained on data sets which contain signal and noise, with some external process defining what constitutes signal and what constitutes noise. The algorithm then determines attributes of ‘signal’ samples which distinguish them from ‘noise’ samples. There is no mathematical formulation of this process by which the false alarm probability may be determined; the efficacy is based on blind faith with no formal proof, as is the case with control theory.

The reliability of the system depends entirely on how the AI is trained. The training is more correctly called ‘conditioning’; in effect, an AI is much easier to brainwash than a human being, so it is not wise to assume it knows better, simply because of its pretentious title.

    AI=GIGO
IMHO, AGW is the biggest scam ever foisted upon the human race. Thanks Tony

  11. Lynne Balzer says:

I, too, had a conversation with ChatGPT, which quickly convinced me that it had been brainwashed to believe the GHG hype. No matter what I said, ChatGPT had an answer.
