“COP29: Baku Call Launched On Climate Action For Peace, Relief, And Recovery”
‘The COP29 Presidency today launched the Baku Call on Climate Action for Peace, Relief, and Recovery (BCCAP)’
“Give us money, or there will be no peace.”
‘an initiative addressing the urgent link between climate change, conflict, and humanitarian needs’
What is an ‘urgent link?’
‘It recognizes that climate impacts, such as water scarcity, food insecurity, and displacement, can fuel conflict, particularly in vulnerable regions.’
If I understand English correctly, this means it can happen where it can happen. Perhaps Kamala can give the opening speech at COP 30. She will need a job [for which I am still giddy!].
BTW, when they talk about ‘water scarcity, food insecurity’ they are saying global government should take them over. Not your local water utility, but somebody in Brussels in charge of your water. They are calling for catastrophe.
‘The Call was introduced by Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at a high-level panel, which included ministers and envoys from various countries to develop a strategy for preventing conflict and increasing support for climate- and conflict-vulnerable nations.’
Their solution? “Give us money.” It’ll take another week for them to reach that conclusion, but everyone knows it already. They knew before they went.
Has the UN actually contributed usefully towards world peace?
