I expanded the RSS TLT temperature analysis to cover 25 randomly chosen grid cells. Australia has had many warmer years, and is no warmer now than it was 35 years ago.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

thanks for that..and golly what a odd assortment of stations they used..
so many inland isolated and bugger all coastals
now why?
as if we cant guess:-)
13 arid semi arid areas..
Geologically speaking, all of Australia is getting hotter and drier mainly because it was once part of Antarctica and has split off and is sailing towards the equator. It is one of the fastest moving tectonic plate landmasses on earth.
Oh My God! CO2 is making the land move! Does that mean we’re going to hit Africa unless I quit driving my pickup truck? Somebody should pass a law…
No Niel, It means Africa is going to split in two!

Looking at the points used for this temperature survey I would say that they are a pretty good representation of Australia’s land mass. Much better than what BOM does when they pick the large city populations/airports that are located along the coast. And to top it off, you didn’t have to install any algorithms to falsely inflate the temperatures.
Thanks Steven. much better coverage, same result . 🙂
Now the ideal would be to re-do with another set of 25 random points.
I assume that you have a code that does the analysis…
… maybe add a random generator to your analysis code to choose a set number of points.?
Then you could run it multiple times.
It won’t make any difference. satellite temps don’t vary much over small regions.
It just lowers the “by chance” aspect of random selection.
So makes it much harder for the rabid warmists to question.
I seemed to have lost some information in the file. Which column is Rutherglen?
I am asking because the mean maximum temperatures for many stations in Australia show a sudden step up around 2000. The whole of Aus shows a dip in the late 90s.

Recent Winters in Australia have been the Coldest for decades . More towns experience Snow these days ; the first time in decades for some . In balance, the greatest change is Winter temps’ ; Summer is “normal” , I’m surprised anyone could think Australia is getting hotter,,, unless they were selective with their data ?
You might want to post that type of information next winter at
IceAgeNow.Info
It is nice to have somewhere to go to see what type of cold weather is happening around the world.
Reblogged this on Climatism.
If you take Australian weather stations surrounded by asphalt and superhighways, you can find some of the warming that alarmists are claiming.
Once again, I’d be interested in how you extracted the data for specific locations. Do you have the code?
In addition, an interesting exercise would be to do the same work for the US and compare to USHCN raw and adjusted. It would either validate the adjustments or show how poor they are.
I use ncview on Linux
Data is here : ftp://ftp.remss.com/msu/data/netcdf/rss_tb_anom_maps_ch_tlt_v3_3.nc
RSS closely matches USHCN raw
That is great. If you could create a comparison graph of the trends that would be exactly what is needed to crush the warmest ever BS. It would also be good to show a chart of the sampled locations. This could be a major thorn in the side of the alarmists.
