After attacking me with a bunch of BS, Michael “An Embarrassment To The Profession” Mann has deleted my response. He can’t win a debate, so he censors.
(31) Michael E. Mann – Another must-read from Greg Fishel, who catches…
This was my response, which is now gone.
Remember who he is working for.

I know some , well most, well probably everyone here is going to like this one.
and it is verifiably true.
North Dakotan s have voted to name a garbage dump the Obama garbage dump.
Even the dems voted for the name because as some explained they were very disappointed in him
The dilemma is no longer just:
COMMUNISM vs CAPITALISM, but
SOCIAL GOOD vs GOOD SCIENCE:

Pseudoscience ?
No !
Pseudoscientists ! Yes !!!
To the narrator of this blog…
You can’t argue with idiots, You can’t reason with idiots ! You can show these dweebs a blue pen and every time, they will say it’s red !
Even when it is completely “obvious”, even when 10 others are standing right there saying no, the pen is blue !!
These are the same “idiots” who wil stand next to you, and pee on your leg, and tell you that it is raining !!
These are same people who will quit on the second hole, and then go tell everyone that they won ???
So these people are the “definition” of Scum and Stupid
These are the people who have sold their soul, therefore the truth means nothing to them, and they will take it to their grave, and then the next place too !
To me it’s as if they never lived, and I give them “nothing” to stand on, no publicity what so ever, eerie silence !!!
And remember, you can’t argue with an idiot, because at the end of the argument, they are still an idiot !
Even when Al Gore purchases Beach “Front” property, as Sea levels are rising ?????????
Hopefully, they will all share the same pit, at least then they will be able to compare notes and lie to each other…

Yes Ricks2014 ,, the devil has a special place reserved, for Gore, Mann & Co.
Looks like Greg Fishel was more than Fishing… he was Cherry Picking his outcome – the very thing he accuses others of doing.! Amazing the lengths to which they will go to: in defense of their “warmist messiah”; Michael E. Mann.
What an ill mannered cowardly man he is.
And then Mike the Pilt cherry picks 1911 – 2016. Why doesn’t he extend back to the mid-1800’s and find there is no acceleration for 150 years? This is classic Piltdown Mann science at its best.
Wow, I just looked through Mike’s facebook page…..what a total whack job. Wow!!
My comment lasted about 5 minutes asking where Steve’s went. So I asked the same at Greg’s…
He won’t like it he hates everything… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYEXzx-TINc
Stand proud, Steve/tony, you could not be more honored.
I tried to post a very measured comment to Mann’s post. Here’s a screenshot:
http://www.sealevel.info/mann_or_fb_censors_burton_2016-03-27.png
If you try to look at that comment, you can’t see it. But, strangely, the comment is still visible if I view it, while logged into that facebook account.
So this might be case of censorship by Facebook, rather than censorship by Mann. Facebook is notorious for censoring conservative viewpoints. Here’s some discussion of the problem, from about 1.5 years ago:
https://www.facebook.com/help/community/question/?id=10200248881692914&answer_id=10202976939492654
(click on “view previous comments” a few times to see the discussion)
OTOH, I posted the same comment to Greg Fishel that I tried to post to Michael Mann, and it seems to have worked fine on Greg’s page:
https://www.facebook.com/WRALGregFishel/posts/10156846497685724?comment_id=10156870410625724
That would seem to indicate that the problem is specific to Mann, which suggests that it’s something Mann did.
However, Greg lives less than ten miles from me, so we probably have some friends in common. So perhaps that has something to do with the fact that my comment is visible on Greg’s page.
This is the comment I posted to Greg, and attempted to post to Michael Mann:
.
It is true that seven years is nowhere near long enough to establish a sea level trend from a measurement record at a coastal tide gauge. The literature indicates that at least 50-60 years of data are necessary to deduce a robust sea-level trend from a tide gauge record. Refs: http://www.sealevel.info/papers.html#howlong
Fortunately, we have many measurement records which are longer than that. There are about sixty good-quality, 100+ year records of sea-level around the world. A couple of them extend back more than 200 years.
Due to differences in local factors (primarily vertical land motion), the rates of sea-level change vary greatly between those locations. Some are recording falling sea-level, and more are recording rising sea-level; the average is slightly rising.
But even though the rate (and even the sign) of sea-level change varies from one location to another, every gauge shows exactly the same thing w/r/t “acceleration” (increase in rate of rise): There’s been no statistically significant increase in the rate of sea-level rise since the 1920s. At most locations it’s been over a century since the rate of sea-level rise detectably increased.
Yet over that time period, anthropogenic carbon emissions have driven CO2 levels from under 0.031% of the atmosphere to 0.040%.
That’s a 30% CO2 increase. Yet that 30% increase in CO2, accompanied by at least a 0.5°C increase in globally averaged temperatures, has caused no increase at all in the rate of sea-level rise.
That is experimental proof that anthropogenic CO2 emissions do not measurably affect sea-level rise. We’ve done the experiment, and we know the result. Predictions of wildly accelerated sea-level rise due to CO2 emissions are based on superstition, not scientific evidence.
Here are all 91 high-quality tide gauge records with data from 1930 to present, or nearly to present, with the longest records first. Click on the location names to see NOAA’s graphs and regression analyses for all of them:
http://www.sealevel.info/MSL_global_trendtable_1930-present.html
As you can see, none of them have measured statistically significant sea-level rise acceleration since the 1920s. Not even one. ~70 years of heavy GHG emissions caused no increase at all in the rate of sea-level rise.
When atmospheric CO2 was under 0.031%, globally averaged sea-level rise at the coasts was just under +1.5 mm/year.
With CO2 at 0.040%, SLR is still just under +1.5 mm/year.
Even President Obama’s former Undersecretary for Science, physicist Steven Koonin, wrote that:
“Even though the human influence on climate was much smaller in the past, the models do not account for the fact that the rate of global sea-level rise 70 years ago was as large as what we observe today.”
Here’re some relevant papers:

Some systems provide for ‘stealth’ moderation, where the original poster still sees their post, yet others cannot. You might try a different location and not being logged in as yourself in your normal manner, and see if your comment is visible then. Then if your comment is not visible there, go ahead and log in as your usual self and look again. If it shows up now, you have been ‘stealth’ moderated.
Do Facebook’s “Public Figure” pages provide that feature?
Perhaps that’s why many of my posts have not been receiving “likes” or comments for quite a while.
How did you take such a nice long screenshot?
As reply to Neal S, below, this is also known as “shadow banning”… The participant thinks his posts are visible, but they are not. Leftists like this technique a lot.
That screenshot I just patched together with Alt-PrtScrn and MS Paint. For a larger page I sometimes use the “Screengrab (fix version)” Add-on in Firefox.
I’ve tried quite a few screen capture add-ons, in several browsers. Most fail badly on big pages, such as articles with lots of Disqus comments. “Screengrab (fix version)” also has problems with some of those pages, but it seems better than the other tools I’ve tried, including Nimbus, Joxi, QSnap, FireShot, Awesome Screenshot, and many others.

I noticed that Paul Homewood managed to get a couple of comments visible on Mann’s page. I wonder how he managed that?
Reblogged this on Climatism and commented:
Psychology 101: Mikey pens diatribe. Mikey cares. Mikey rattled. Mikey defensive. Mikey abuses.
Mikey knows sea level rise is *not* accelerating via colourless, odourless, trace gas and plant food CO2.
You should add: Mikey attempts to use “not in good faith” argument in order to censor anything that points out his/Fishel’s errors/hypocrisy. He’s the epitome of cowardice because he doesn’t want to engage anyone in a serious debate.
I don’t see the graph from 1911?
Deleting that comment……what a wuss.
Go to his Facebook page-what a collection of brown lipstick-brown shirt toadies! Anti 2nd Amend.,gender this right-wing that-evil corporations-the entire litany of the whining left…looking for big gov. to crush the opposition. Wussies indeed.
Yep. Many observers noticed this predictable “progressive” uniformity. To me, it was the first clue years ago that the whole campaign was political crap, even before I started looking into the facts.
97% of the comments he doesn’t delete agree with him
What Mike didn’t mention is that my post included a NOAA graph showing tha sea level rise rates at Manhatten peaked in 1950
Manhatten
http://www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/stations/12.php
or Atlantic City?
http://www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/stations/180.php
Atlantic city peaked around that time at 4.5 mm/yr and is currently around 4 mm/yr
New York’s Battery (Manhatten) is currently at 2.8 mm/yr. In the 1950s it was around 2.5 mm/yr
Can you post NOAA’s Manhatten graph that shows the 1950 peak here?
Thanks.
Apologizing in advance, I could have just said, “Did you mean Atlantic City?”
My comment has so far survived.
We’ll see how long!
Mikey is the spoiled child who takes his ball and runs home the minute he realizes that his opponent is vastly superior and that he was going to lose. Badly! Mikey also had his yapping pack of rabid sycophants to delude him into believing that he actually was winning the game, when in fact he was getting his clock cleaned.
The end of El Niño.

Notice how the “warm blob” has all but vanished, in the North Pacific? Also the “cold blob” has expanded in the North Atlantic.
Mann Oh Mann, this is going to be an interesting summer.
It was kind of you to be so civil, Tony, and bring the Truth so politely to Mann’s twitter page, but I fear he doesn’t want to face Truth. Don’t let him piss you off. That’s the only thing he is good at: Pissing people off. He seemingly can’t even lie very well any more.
I think the scientific community is increasingly keeping at arms length. You don’t see many scientists chumming with him these days. The same seems to be happening to Hansen.
Perhaps it is because some of their claims are simply absurd. Around 14 months ago Mann claimed, on his twitter page, that the heavy snows in Boston were due to moisture arising from waters off Cape Cod that were 21F above normal.
https://sunriseswansong.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/mann-tweet-screenhunter_7071-feb-11-22-19.gif?w=488&h=266
That was comically easy to refute, because within a matter of days sea-ice was forming along the coast of Cape Cod.

When a person publicly makes mistakes of the nature Mann is seeming to habitually make, people back away as if they have the plauge. The people who once supported him must feel like cornered rats, but rats have a wisdom all their own, which is why they are so seldom seen on sinking ships. Mann, however, is the captain, and must go down with his tub.
I see the Grauniad is talking sea ice today
