Australians have sloppily allowed themselves to fall victim to a corrupt and stupid government. This didn’t happen overnight, but is the result of mushy-headed submission to dishonest people posing as greens.
Gillard makes tentative steps towards a greener, cleaner future

July 11, 2011ONCE you can get past the extraordinary compensation packages – some justifiable, others less so – the real test of the carbon price package is pretty basic: will it cut Australia’s carbon dioxide emissions?
Every living creature on Earth either generates or consumes CO2, as do the oceans and the soils – which produce 97% of the Earth’s CO2 emissions. To call CO2 pollution is an affront to nature.
“To call CO2 pollution is an affront to nature.”
It’s worse than that – it’s a barefaced lie.
I hope for Australia’s sake they can eject her at the next election. Envision a red headed pumpkin in a 40 ft Trebuchet.
It’s diatomic Oxygen that is the real pollutant. Carbon dioxide doesn’t destructively oxidize iron or cellulose.
The problem is our compliant, sycophantic, proctoleichous media: with very few notable exceptions, the news and current affairs programs on television are complete, orthodox believers (and proselytisers) of the CAGW scam. Nearly all purported comedians, nearly all alleged scientists, and nearly all supposed representatives whom they ever see or hear accept official dogma. The public broadcaster which, by government charter, must present all sides of political and social issues, regularly displays its impartiality by, for example, providing on the one side a fervent green who wants all coal-fired power stations closed down immediately and on the other side a businessman who agrees that “pricing carbon” would be the right thing to do. All public and commercial television news shows call carbon dioxide “pollution”, and all will display images of billowing steam against dark, grey skies when mentioning coal, but show sunny, blue skies and shiny solar-panels or wind-turbines in lovely rural settings, with blades rotating gently, when “renewables are mentioned.
In schools (as my son and I demonstrate at http://impactofcc.blogspot.com/), heretical dissent is not permitted.
With such a continual barrage of awarmist propaganda, it should not be a surprise that half of all Australians accept that carbon dioxide will doom the planet unless we impose burdensome taxes on productive industries; rather, the wonder should be that so much relentless eschatological alarmism has convinced only half the population.
