Climate Change Is Real

The climate has been getting less extreme for decades.

    But wait.

If you fit a quadratic to the data in the last graph of US hurricane strikes versus CO2 levels, it is clear (to the most casual observer) that Hansen’s goldilocks number of 350 ppm CO2 is not just right, but *proven*.

    Or something.

This year Antarctica going into the winter maximum is not very extreme either, what is going on down there?

For the last few years it has always had very high area anomalies but something seems a lot different this year. It will be interesting to see if it can have a late spurt and be higher than normal before max occurs.

The melt season should be more or less average I think.

PS Arctic is pretty extreme currently extent wise.

PPS I think you might be right about that North Pole webcam Steve, it maybe just a large very deep melt pool, I can’t make my mind up, if it is a lead then you’d expect that nicely shaped “iceberg” to move relative to the edges.

Well, maybe the hurricane thingy is a little off… probably due to Chinese coal burning or the EU’s carbon plan. But climate change definitely caused this. A highly trained humanitarian relief coordinator said so.

“Climate change is cause of Ethiopian drought

The United Nations (UN) humanitarian relief coordinator, Valerie Amos says that the world “must take the impact of climate change more seriously”.
