    It was 108 in Newark today (all time record) and 105 at BWI and Dulles in the DC area. The local media is sh__ing in their pants

    Yup , a nice hot day in NJ. I drove in a big circle around North Jersey today. ( work, errands)
    It’s past 5 and my digital thermometer says it is still 103.
    Last night it never went below 90. I’ve seen that before.
    But not in recent years. Last night was the first really hot night in at least 5 years.
    The weather girls explained this the other day. It’s that Heat Dome thing like in Russia last year.
    A solar effect I think.
    I feel for the guys who work outside.
