The survey also found that Americans harbor negative feelings toward congressional Republicans. Roughly as many people blame Republican policies for the poor economy as they do Obama. 65 percent disapprove of the GOP’s handling of jobs, compared to 52 percent for the president.
When the Democrats took over Congress in 2006, unemployment was about half of what it is now. The rise since then obviously must be the Congressional Republicans fault.
It was a drunken party during the Bush years. Wall Street and the military industrial complex were buying rounds for all their cronies. Meanwhile the working class people incurring even more personal debt in an effort to maintain the middle class quality of life they grew up in.
The country woke up in the morning and the house is a mess, the people got stuck with the tab for all those drinks and the country has one of the worst hangovers ever. And you say it’s all Obama’s fault?
I’d suggest no more parties for a while and start putting in a few shifts of overtime. Those guys were buying expensive drinks.
MrC
Dems controlled the Congress since 2006, when unemployment was half and the deficit was a quarter.
Steven, quit with the FACTS already. That’s just not fair! /sarc
Well, now there’s a well substantiated set of points from someone who doesn’t regularly post on DU.
Look, during the Bush era, congress spent like drunken sailors, and I would contend, even though a Democrat Congress since 2006, I would contend assisted by Republicans as well.
However, MrC, the FACT of the matter is, Obama (and radical Admin), Reid and Pelosi (Dem Congress) have out spent ALL other presidents and congresses COMBINED! … And THAT sir, is an indisputable FACT!
So, stop already with your spinning little yarn … it’s not even cute anymore.
