In less than four weeks since President Obama proposed sweeping new gun control laws and a ban on assault-style weapons, the backlash from law enforcement groups that strongly support the Second Amendment has surged and now there are 10 state sheriffs associations opposed to the president.
The Illinois Sheriffs Association became the last to join the growing crowd of police opposed to Obama, arguing this week that the president should instead be focused on mental health, not gun hardware.

Obama and Feinstein are determined to turn tens of millions of honest Americans into felons, towards their worthy goal of giving criminals free reign across America.
Unfortunately for Obama, the red counties contain smart, strong people. He isn’t used to dealing with people like that.

This Obama-plan is identical to TSA strip searching crippled children and elderly women, letting the real problem slide by for fear of charges of discrimination.
Likewise these planners must treat the remote farmer defending against wolves and bears as equal to the criminal gang bangers in the ghetto. Focus on who the real problem is in the ghetto, and leave the farmer to his challenging life with nature.
This “equal application policy” is a Politically Correct Mental Illness found in high level lefty administrators. These individuals are evil morons and are mentally ill.

The so-called “progressive” (I use the term loosely) Democrats are making a big mistake by attacking the Second Amendment. Many of them will be looking for jobs after the next election. Messing with the right to self defense is not something most Americans will tolerate.
Law-abiding gun owners across the fruited plain have had their fill of Sen. Feinstein and her ilk. While she struts around with a phalanx of body guards, she expects the rest of us to disarm. Good luck trying to sell that bovine excrement to millions of gun-owning Americans.
The Right to Bear arms is a God-given inalienable right that does not require the assent of government bureaucrats or self-enamored congressional blowhards. American citizens should be able to defend themselves and their property with the same types of weapons used by law enforcement, if for no other reason than to protect themselves from those same uniformed bullies.
Correction: it is “unalienable” … there is a difference
One of the most rabid democrats that I know is a gun-collector and fiercely defends his right to his weapons. Dems should be careful where they tread.
This illustrates well the difference between Chicago, and the rest of the state of Illinois.
