Besides taking their arms away, they also took away their legs and heads. The people who did this were extremely grateful that the citizens were not armed.
Why would they need guns? They had Kofi Annan and the UN to protect them.

Reblogged this on Climate Ponderings.
The Voltaire quotation is very appropriate. Many people think these are isolated tragedies and are ignorant to the fact that they continually repeat throughout history and especially over the last 50 years. Bosnia, Kosovo, Burma, Cambodia (Pol Pot), Congo, Kenya, Mozambique, Guinea, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Armenia, Azerbijan, Georgia, Uruzgan Province, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Bouganville, Honduras, Haiti, and on and on. Trusting your government can be very bad for your health.
Great list Andy OZ, but I cant believe you left off the United States.
I was gonna put Australia on too with the genocide of the aborigines but that was mostly over 50 years ago. I’m not sure the US has killed many of it’s own citizens, except in the Vietnam protests of the late 60’s early 70’s, unless you know of more incidents.
Millions of native Americans
Big oversight on my part there, with the native americans. I thought I’d leave that to you guys who live there. In Australia there was over a million aborigines in 1770, and now there are something around 300,000.
Not forgetting Ireland.
You overlooked Zimbabwe where they disarmed the farmers and then took away their farms, homes, businesses, equipment and bank balances. A few stood up to them and paid with their lives like Stevens and Olds. But only Martin Olds took a few with him because he kept his weapons back. The other 4000 just shuffled off because they could not resist or protect what was theirs.
When the state disarms you it is never for your own good.
The French and the UN engineered the Rwanda Genocide…and this indeed is what you have to look forward to under Internationalist rule. I highly recommend the book We Wish to Inform You That Tommorow We Will be Killed With Our Families for an anatomy of the method…

Yep, “democide”, death by goverment, the number one killer in the past 100 years.
