James Hansen is committing a Felony by tampering with historical, federally owned, temperature records. When is the indictment?
Hansen’s group provides their Analysis of the historic temperature records based on their ASSumptions as run through a computer model. That is the same thing NOAA NWS NCDC does with the GHCN and USHCN reports. They do not provide DATA but an analysis of the data. Of course the want us to believe what they provide resembles reality and they hope their analysis is useful.
Personally I think it is as useful as vomit that has been homogenized through a blender, but that is just my opinion.

I’ll also add that he’s doing this for political reasons and not scientific ones.
History shows that GISS was formed to study other planets to see if colonization was practical. That mission was scrapped and GISS was to be scrapped. The idea of researching the earth’s atmosphere resulted in GISS being expanded and Hansen’s group being used to give us their learned opinions (WAG) (EXCREMENT)!
BTW Hansen was a hero to the upper echelon at NASA! Probably still is!
