Being An Alarmist Means Not Understanding Nature

Climate alarmism is based on ignorance and dishonesty.

Along with 35 people from Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Taos, from teenagers to retirees, I joined New Energy Economy’s Las Conchas hike last Saturday, a stark and informative experience that displayed the realities of climate change on New Mexico’s forests.

We hiked the eastern rim of the Valles Caldera and viewed the now dead forest patch and considered the affect Las Conchas had on this beautiful wilderness area and what it portends for the future.

Santa Fe is famous for spectacular Aspen groves, which formed after giant fires during the 1890s. Many species like Aspen depend on forest fires for their existence.

I went hiking on the eastern rim of the Valles Caldera in October, and took this picture.

A few years after a fire, the Aspen trees move in and the scenery becomes much more spectacular.

Climate alarmists look at new life, and see death.

The Warmists are so desperate to save their collapsing theory that they’ve been reduced to blaming every severe weather event on “climate change” — an absolutely vacuous term that could apply to anything. And since when hasn’t the climate been “changing” over the past 4.5 billion years?

One of the few truly distinct changes in our modern climate has been the flatlining of the global mean temperature over the past 16 years. The slight uptick in warming during the late 20th century has stopped, despite rising levels of CO2 (most of it from natural sources). There is no evidence that increasing levels of CO2 lead to rising global temperatures. (Actually, as ice cores reveal, the correlation is in reverse: Increased temperatures lead to rising CO2 levels approximately 800 years later, primarily the result of CO2 out-gassing from the oceans).

The global warming, a.k.a. “climate change,” theory has been demolished in recent decades by real-world observational data. The scare simply isn’t credible any more.

If the Dems are successful in getting a carbon tax into the US, it will be pretty much game over as far as the warmistas are concerned. They win. The US is the “golden mountain” for the London carbon credit industry. Even if Europe is a carbon tax mess and Australia repeals our carbon tax, the US might get a tax through executive order and the value is massive compared to the rest of the world. That’s what you need to prevent!

They believe Mother Nature retired, and handed over the keys, once we got our factories and SUV’s rolling.

But the old fires were friendly natural fires, not like these nasty fires we get today, caused by bigoted, racist, mean spirited heteronormative Republican gun loving white males.

Before I comment let me go turn my oven and stove off because I am contributing to “their” problem.
