Children Just Aren’t Going To Know What Soccer Is

More than 80% of my son’s soccer practices have been cancelled this year because of snow, and it has been snowing continuously for the last 24 hours with the temperature at -8C. The season ends in three weeks.

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

    Don’t think there has been much soccer practice in Minnesota with 3 feet of snow on the ground in places this April.

    I’ve yet to get on my road bike and start cycling here too. road egdes are full of gravel, when its not covered in snow….
