The Government Knew

Eighty years ago the US government explained why increasing levels of CO2 would not have a significant impact on the climate.

“Much has been written about varying amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as a possible cause of glacial periods. The theory received a fatal blow when it was realized that carbon dioxide is very selective as to the wave lengths of radiant energy it will absorb, filtering nut only such waves as even very minute quantities of water vapor dispose of anyway. No probable Increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide could materially affect either the amount of insolation reaching the surface or the amount of terrestrial radiation lost to space.”

Climatologists Talking To The Dead

Ten years ago, the Texas state climatologist predicted the state would stay in drought through 2020, but meteorologists said weather can’t be predicted that far in the future.

Making Five Year Old Ice Disappear

Six years ago, the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado showed a lot of five year old ice during week 41 (October 5-11.)  They track the ice constantly so that they know how old it is.

But when they published the week 41 data a few months later, they made much of the five year old ice disappear.
