No Public Comment Allowed

The Democrat’s House Climate Crisis Committee is holding their first hearing in Boulder this week, because they believe that stoned Boulder residents will be receptive to their message of superstition and junk science.  But even here they are too afraid to let the public speak.

Plummeting July 28 Temperatures In The US

US July 28 afternoon temperatures have dropped about five degrees since the 1930s.

On this date in 1930, nine states were over 110F – Arkansas 114, Kentucky 114, Indiana 113, Illinois 112, Missouri 112, Mississippi 111, Arizona 110, Oklahoma 110 and Tennessee 110.

On this date in 1931, every state was over 90 degrees.

The coolest July 28 was in 2013. The only states over 100F were California, Arizona and Texas.

Must Be Over The Target

“Lorne” went on this hysterical rant over my last video.

The amount of mindless BS in his comment is quite impressive, but the part I found most amusing is what I highlighted in red.  Had he been paying attention when he watched the video, he would have seen the very first slide.

A Heat Wave Bakes Europe, Where Air Conditioning Is Scarce

Alarmists are desperate to have people tell them bad news. It is a serious mental health problem, which they will have to deal with at some point in their life. The desperation of their attacks tells me that I am making an impression.

Mindless Heatwave Hysteria

As always, the press is hysterical about a hot day.

The summer of 2019 in Paris has been nearly identical to the summer of 1947 so far, though it looks like the rest of the summer will be cooler.

On July 25, Paris Le Bourget Airport reached 106F, one degree warmer than the 1947 peak. This is not surprising because the wind was blowing from the south across the massive Urban Heat Island of Paris.

Unfortunately, the 2003 data for Paris Le Bourget is missing from the NOAA archives, but other locations in France were much hotter in 2003.

Europe’s worst heatwave of the 20th century occurred in 1911, and lasted for more than two months – well into September.

Tens of thousands of people died in Europe from the heat during the summer of 1911.

Thousands of deaths in Europe and America.

The Northeast US had their worst heatwave that summer. The three hottest days on record in the Northeast US all occurred during 1911.

The hottest July 4th on record in the US occurred in 1911.

May 1911 also brought an unprecedented heatwave to the Northeastern US. Almost ten degrees warmer than May, 2019.

On May 22, 1911 it was 101 degrees at Lewiston, Maine, 100 degrees at Farmington, Maine and 102 degrees at Purcellville, Virginia. Temperatures like that are incomprehensible now in May.

The May heatwave caused hundreds of deaths.

On February 1 1911 brought another unprecedented heatwave. It was 93 degrees in Oklahoma and Texas, 86 degrees in Kansas, 84 degrees in Missouri, 75 degrees in Illinois and 71 degrees in Indiana.

Europe has been having terrible heatwaves and droughts for thousands of years. including 200,000 deaths in Paris in 1821.

If climate scientists were actual scientists, they would want to understand what causes heatwaves – rather than mindlessly blaming CO2. The unprecedented heat of 1911 across America and Europe was not caused by CO2 – obviously something else controls heatwaves. And two years later, California set the world’s record temperature of 134 degrees.

The worst floods on record in the Ohio Valley occurred during 1913.

And Houston had some of their worst flooding in 1913.

It is unfortunate that climate scientists aren’t interested in understanding climate – but that isn’t what they are paid to do.

The Other Side Of 1934

I’ve been presenting a lot of information about the record heat of 1934, but that year also brought record cold to the Northeast US. February 9, 1934 was the coldest night on record in the Northeast, and the third coldest day.

Every location in the Northeast was below 0F (-18C) that night, and the average minimum temperature was -22F. Coldest location was -52F at Stillwater Reservoir, NY.

That afternoon, no place in the Northeast US made it above freezing. The average maximum temperature was 3F.

A few months later the New York Times was reporting on record heat and drought.

Climate experts want to return us to the stable, low CO2 atmosphere of 1934 – because they say higher levels of CO2 cause extreme weather.
