Plummeting Likelihood Of Hot Weather In The Midwestern US

“Human beings never think for themselves; they find it too uncomfortable. For the most part, members of our species simply repeat what they are told – and become upset if they are exposed to any different view.”

– Michael Crichton

Spreadsheet (shows every 90 and 100 degree USHCN temperature in the Midwest since 1895)

Prior to 1957, hot weather was very common in the Midwestern US – but over the past 62 years the likelihood of hot weather has plummeted. In 1936, the Midwest had 86 days with at least one station reporting 100F.  In 1934 they had 78 days over 100F. By contrast, recent years have had almost no days over 100F. And 90 degree days show the same declining trend.

This is of course the exact opposite of what professional climate fraudsters report.

The spreadsheet shows every 90 and 100 degree USHCN temperature reading in the Midwest since 1895. But my experience is that climate alarmists refuse to look at thermometer data, because they say it is “conspiracy theory”

What is the point of giving him more than twelve years, when Democrats believe the world ends?

“Scientists Say”

Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico   April 11, 2019

A quarter century ago, the world’s leading climate experts predicted the end of skiing.

Ski areas to shut down “within decades”

The exact opposite has occurred. Ski areas are receiving record snow and some are staying open all year round.

Winter snow cover has been increasing for 50 years.

It wasn’t always like this though.  In 1932, the Winter Olympics almost had to be cancelled because of a lack of snow.

These sort of mispredictions are what happen when science is based around superstition and politics, rather than any actual science.

All Weather Is Now Climate

National Geographic blames Guatemalan drought on “climate change.”

“This is the worst drought we’ve ever had”

National Geographic Magazine Archive

Had they done any actual research, they would have known that the same thing was happening when CO2 was below 300 PPM, and that it has nothing to do with CO2 or “climate change.”

Forty-Five Years Ago

1974 was a very eventful year. The US had massive gas lines because we were dependent on Arab oil, and they decided to stop selling it to us.

Lindsey Buckingham’s father died of a massive heart attack waiting in a gas line in California.  This is what the Democrats want to bring back to America, by shutting down domestic oil production.

Phoenix had 18 consecutive days over 110 degrees.  A record which they have never come close to again. (I played on the ASU soccer team in 1974, and we had practice at 3PM every day.)

President Nixon was forced out of office for doing a tiny fraction of Obama’s dirty campaign tricks. That was back when the New York Times and Washington Post pretended they had some integrity.

And on Christmas Day, Darwin, NT was destroyed by Cyclone Tracy.

All this stuff happened in spite of the Arab Oil embargo cutting CO2 emissions. It is almost like extreme weather has nothing to do with CO2. Just extreme stupidity.

The Heatwave Of April 10, 1930

On this date in 1930, a large swath of the country from Texas to Wisconsin was over 90 degrees, including 96 degrees at Clarinda, Iowa. Chicago was 90 degrees. Sixty nine percent of the US was over 70F.

I was looking at newspaper articles about the heatwave, and ran into this horrific story about a train/bus wreck near Albuquerque.

I never heard about that wreck before, but it reminded me of another New Mexico bus wreck which occurred while I was in high school.
