Greenland is still locked in winter, days before the summer solstice. Vikings farmed Greenland during the recently erased Medieval Warm Period, but farming would be pretty difficult in the modern cold climate.

The year 1896 had record heatwaves around the planet, including one which killed 1,500 people in New York City. Australia’s worst heatwave occurred during January, 1896. Arizona also had their record heatwave that year, with Parker, Az over 120 degrees every day from June 11 to June 17.
If climate scientists were actual scientists, they would want to understand what caused the heat of 1896 – rather than just trying to bury history.

I’ve been saying for ten years that nothing is happening in the Arctic, and that the small year over year variations are just noise. Meanwhile, experts have been predicting the Arctic would be ice-free in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 ….
There has been no change in Arctic ice over the last decade.
Andy appears to be unable to distinguish between the quality of my analysis and the quality of the analysis done by the hacks known as “climate experts.” The dissonance among climate alarmists is quite astonishing.
Hansen, echoing work by other scientists, said that in five to 10 years, the Arctic will be free of sea ice in the summer.

But to be fair to Dr. Hansen, he was a very conservative prophet. The other leading Norwegian, American and Canadian prophets predicted the North Pole would be ice-free ten years ago.
