Another AGW Icon Bites The Dust

First Lake Powell, and now this. It is too much for any alarmist to bear.

Staghorns are not reef building corals, they grow over reef building corals and kill them….
    ….staghorns are weeds

    OT

Alec Baldwin Tweet shows he should have stuck to acting:

  3. Yep, Gaia is hearty ‘ol b**ch. Sometimes she gets grumpy, when she’s beautiful she’s beautiful.

Only the left sees good news as bad. What a sorry state of existence.

  5. Andy WeissDC says:

The alarmists are being abandoned by a large number of their poster children. That is fun to watch, as they and their media lap dogs keep parroting that “it’s worse than we thought”.

    • Dave N says:

The “worse than we thought” translates to “it’s worse, because we thought things were going to be bad, and they’re not”

  6. Jimbo says:

Where do they get their figures from?

“A recent paper from CoECRS researchers argues that a long term limit of 325 ppm atmospheric carbon dioxide is required to protect corals.”

  7. Edward says:

The great barrier reef has seen ’em come and go and will see us out too, a bit of storm damage and stirring of nutrients can do wonders for a reef environment.

  8. Sundance says:

The IP(in my pants mostly because I’m so scared of modeled doom)CC is determined to link extreme weather to man. Wait until the (Tren)birthers start terrifying children and push to make it mandatory to teach that weather was “normal” until man showed up.

  9. Imagine that, a type of creature that has survived atmospheric CO2 levels many times higher is doing just fine after a couple of rough years and some wave damage. It’s almost like they have some magical method of reproducing and spreading. Gosh, how novel.

  10. DirkH says:

Fiona Harper, evil Koch-Exxon-funded coral reef decline denier. Oh let’s shorten that. Reef denier.

  11. Al Gored says:

Oh, oh. Now there’s too much coral. Soon it will block ocean currents. Looks like a tipping point.

    AGW must cause this.

  12. sunsettommy says:

A CO2 hater could have asked the obvious question:

I want to know how the Great Reef survived hotter times.Such as the Holocene warm period. The Minoan,Roman and Medieval warm periods.

But that would be too much for a warmist/alarmist to think over.

    Too obvious.Too logical.
