I did a 20 mile ride this morning up into the foothills and got chased by a pitbull.
AC and car free. The only way to go when the weather is nice. We only get about six weeks of summer in Colorado and you have to enjoy it.

Here in Oz some bike riders use cable ties in their helmets to stop dive bombing magpies in nesting season. One spring one chased me for 2 km and donged me on the helmet about a dozen times.
There’s got to be a way to handle pitbulls. Maybe hand grenades? Halberds? I wish, anyway.
I hope it’s a dry heat. I get home every day looking like I’ve been rained upon.
In defending yourself from attack the vulnerability in a pit bull, and any animal, is a hard kick to the throat between the chin and chest. The idea is to smash flat the trachea and/or relocate it trough the spine. Imagine you are kicking the longest field goal ever.
I wish pit bulls were illegal.
It’s the owners, most of the time.
The flip side of that coin is that dogs can sense when you’re holding a trump card. Probably part of why I didn’t even get chased when I carried a handgun.
I left my NAA at home for some reason today.
The origins of the IPCC can be traced as far back as 1891:
“A curious case of gross superstition was recently brought before the Criminal Sessions Court at Samara. Six Russian peasants were tried and sentenced to imprisonment for terms of various duration up to four months, for deliberately disinterring the body of a woman who had died of intoxication, and floating it down the Volga as a means of causing rain. It seems to be quite a fixed belief among the Russian peasantry that throwing the dead body of a drunkard into the river is a sure cure for want of rain.”

These guys were a little before their time. Today they would be granted honorary doctorates in “Climate Science” or awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.

It was only 100 today in DC, my grandson and I jogged around, we didn’t see a single kook dressed up in a polar bear suit protesting global warming
Where are these people when you need them, they’re falling down on the job
In the 90’s all around then the 102. Must be one of those stations in front of an AC vent.
