I remember as a kid, the first time we went to the mountains in Colorado & I saw patches of snow (& even made a snowball) in the middle of July. My tiny little mind was blown.

    • There is tons of snow still up in the mountains in Colorado.

      • As a (former & still sometimes)plains stater, it still amazes me: sweating in shorts and a t-shirt, pile in the car (my dad didn’t get the optional A/C in the (I know I’m dating myself here) Volare wagon back then), and in thirty minutes or so, you’re standing in a patch of snow.

Nowadays, I’d have the good sense to take a bottle of beer with me so I could really enjoy it.

I got caught in a snowstorm one August day on Mt. Audubon in Colorado. One of the hikers disappeared during the storm. Never did find out what happened to him.

Pay attention to south Chile. Worst snowfall in 30 years…
