July 18, 1934 : 117 Degrees In Nebraska
This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Bookmark the permalink.
It was 114 over the past weekend at Medicine Lodge, KS. It has been a hot summer for the Southern Plains, much like 1980 and some of the Dust Bowl years.
In Nebraska? Holy smokes!
Question for AGW doomsayers that wonder what the point is of these historical flashbacks …
What would you be writing in your blogs today if this story occurred now in 2011?
C’mon, be honest.
In 1936, it was 121 (F) in freaking North Dakota. It was -60 (F) in ND the previous winter, also a state record. Can you imagine the alarmist howling if that happened in 2011?
