More Proof That There Are No Hudson Bay Polar Bears

Hudson Bay is ice free every summer for several months. Leading experts tell us that Polar Bears die without ice. Therefore all the Hudson Bay bears are extinct. Even worse, Walt Meier says the entire Arctic was ice free 5,000 years ago, so there can be little doubt that the species has been extinct since the days when King Tut ran around in his jammys.

Global warming is killing polar bear cubs.

This may sound like a typical sensationalist claim by alarmist environmentalists, but it’s backed up by evidence, according to a new study being published in the Canadian Journal of Zoology.

The study found that during swims longer than 30 miles, 45 percent of polar bear cubs who swam with their mothers (5 out of 11) died during the swim.

Steve Amstrup, chief scientist at Polar Bears International, told Reuters that polar bear cubs have less body fat, which makes them less buoyant and more susceptible to the cold arctic waters.

Drowning isn’t the only way melting ice platforms are threatening polar bears; it’s also taking away their habitat and food sources.

Forty years ago, old-timers living in the area around Hudson Bay were lucky to see a polar bear, Nirlungayuk says. “Now there are bears living as far south as James Bay.”

those are fake polar bears, I have heard Exxon is paying brown bears to become transvestites

“45 percent of polar bear cubs who swam with their mothers (5 out of 11) died during the swim.”

They are publishing a study with a sample size of 11? That’s crazy! I wonder how many tax dollars he got in grant money to publish this nonsense?

There is no evidence that a warmer climate harms polar bears in any manner. An ice free arctic simply means the bears will move to land. As will the seal and walrus. This isn’t hard stuff to realize.

Adapt or perish … pretty simple. It reminds me of a read-along book (and tape) I had as a kid called, “I Can Read About Fossils”. At the time, the theory was that the dinosaurs perished becuase it got too cold. I will never forget the narrator’s words: “Some scientists think that the Earth grew too cold for the dinosuars; they could not adapt, or change, with the CHANGING CLIMATE”. Gee … climate change 65 million years ago … who knew. Must have been all those pre-historic aerosols ;).

“Now there are bears living as far south as James Bay.”

Alarmists would instantly blame this on lack of ice, without checking whether the same numbers are still being seen in the north.

What is truly disturbing is that this absolute nonsense is being published in a peer reviewed journal. The ‘authorities’ hassle Lindzen and then publish rubbish. I reached this man’s conclusion years ago, some ‘scientists’ work is not worth reading…
