Nineteen of the twenty deadliest tornadoes occurred before 1960. This in spite of the fact that population density was much lower, and that they didn’t have superstores like Home Depot and Wal Mart with hundreds of people in one place.
The US Weather Service (Ministry of Truth) issued this statement in May :
The death toll so far this year stands at 520. The previous highest recorded death toll in a single year was 519 in 1953.
The Weather Service lacks access to the Internet and apparently was unable to spend ten seconds or so searching Google before making that statement.
The conclusion is obvious. high concentrations of CO2 depress deadly tornadoes.
Since reliable records were not kept before 1950, there is no way to discern whether 708 is higher or lower than 520.
Yes, 708 +/- 2 may be less than 520. Government math.

We’ve now seen a full 60 year cycle of climate colored by, well, color.
But you have to realize that people have much more warning now. Every time there is a rumble of thunder, there is a tornado warning. We in the DC area were under tornado warnings on and off for 24 hours last April for 2 rumbles of thunder.
