They Want To Control Every Aspect Of Your Life

What you eat, what you drive, where you drive, what you believe, what you say, what you can own, how many children you can have, how much you can travel, how much money you have, what your kids are taught, how big your house is, the temperature of your house, how your house is heated, how far you live from your work, what kind of light bulbs and other appliances you have ………

Global warmers make Lenin’s Bolsheviks look like libertarians. In Soviet Russia, polar bears eat Bolsheviks.

AG is not the end, it is just the means to the end – total control of your lives.

  2. Brian G Valentine says:

It’s an odd one. There is something about human nature that makes some people feel compelled to control others into behavior they think is appropriate and figure out ways to do it.

It’s a mystery to me since I don’t feel the need, but some do. I would be surprised to hear of a global warmer who didn’t feel that people needed to be controlled.

Among those with this mysterious compulsion, academics seem to be the absolute worst. This is understandable in light of a feeling of superiority in their knowledge. That and the feeling that this gives them importance and a reason to be around. They fail to realize that there are a lot of useful things they can contribute, maybe they will not have immediate recognition and widespread influence, but to have a life of contributions in a field, known to few outside a field, but respected nonetheless

And, while I expect that nonsense from other parts of the world, I consider it everyone’s civic duty to resist in any form necessary the totalitarian efforts of the left in the U.S.A.. It is entirely contrary to the principles and history of this nation to embrace such thoughts and is a criminal act of treason to attempt to impose such control over our fellow citizens. They need to be driven out of our educational system, out of our legislatures, out of the media, out of the judicial branches and out of the oval office. They need to be held to scorn and ridicule. They need exposed and shamed.

That’s right. Say it out loud:

“NO DICE YOU LITTLE TYRANTS AND WANNA BE DICTATORS. GAME OVER!!!”

Most of “The Left” in American government today openly violate their oath to the constitution. Since “Center” lies in a different place for everyone, we need constitutional limits to size of Government, and a host of other restrictions/clarifications (In the Constitution) that will leave the Socialists no margin to ply their poison.

I like the idea that any organization of Socialism/Communism faces restriction/loss of citizenship and expulsion from Government employ. They will squeal for their freedom – when their intention is to deny it to everyone else.

The green movement is clearly red in origin. I’d like to see severe restrictions on environmental litigation for the vast majority of US land. We need to properly manage our resources and keep them whole, but the church of Gaia has got to go.

See an in-depth analysis of the origins of anti-capitalism, anti-democracy, anti-freedom, anti-American Politically Correct-Progressives in my new book: Willing Accomplices.

Green is simply the latest manifestation of Red’s eight decade’s of attempts to destroy the shining beacon of liberty, freedom, individualism, and free market capitalism. America, American individualism, and American free markets are their targets.

Since they are unable to take on their enemy from a position of strength, their strategy was, and is, to destroy from within.

“They” won’t be happy when I buy a Nissan 370Z NISMO instead of a Nissan Leaf. BTW the 370Z NISMO (350 HP) is CHEAPER than a Leaf, and probably more fun to drive 🙂

On a flight to DC recently I overheard a Chinese woman explaining to manufacturing partners here in the US that she loves children and cannot wait to have ONE.

BTW, her sister was a teacher, which is a government job. I say was, because she slipped up and had a second child, ending her career with the government.

Who was it that had a chairman Mao ornament on their Christmas tree? I forget.

    • Brian G Valentine says:

Red China was a problem for communist apologist liberals back in the 1950’s (= green movement now).

Red China was something they didn’t want to talk about too much. They still don’t.

      • rw says:

Actually, Mao was quite chic in the 60’s. Even in empyrean realms like the NYRB. It was sometime in the 70’s as I recall (maybe a little later) that those people began to wake up.

So tell me, don’t you think that infinite growth violates the basic laws of physics?

I once remember some ridiculous ‘zine suggesting that human beings be downsized to 3 inches tall so that we could solve the population problem. That won’t happen. What will happen is starvation, wars of conquest (for arable lands), and mass migration.

      • DEEBEE says:

Hope all those things in your ultimate sentence happen to you way way before anyone else.

If it is impossible it will not happen; and we won’t need authoritarian control freaks to stop the impossible from happening.

      • Brian G Valentine says:

Sorry to get so testy with you. It is the “control you” aspect of the topic that infuriates me greatly.

Didn’t a gentleman by the name of Ehrlich predict “continents of people ” would be “wiped out” by the year 2000 (along with anything else that depended on cellular respiration to remain viable)?

He demanded some sort of “control” over all of this – presumably he would have an important role in that aspect of it – somehow or other he’s still alive and on the loose.

People react badly to that kind of crap, and you shouldn’t be too surprised to get some “negative feedback” when you espouse it or attempt to convince anybody that they might need it.

You’re not in friendly territory when dance around lifestyle control or attempt sell it. Any more than you would be around some folks if you attempt to convert them to your own religion.

Leftist/alarmists never make predictions (unless they are right, which they almost never are), they give scenarios. That way they are never wrong, and in fact get kudos from other leftists when their scenarios don’t come through. Being wrong all the time is a resume enhancer to the left, as long as your predictions/scenarios can be used to advance the cause of limiting freedom.

“Hope all those things in your ultimate sentence happen to you way way before anyone else.”

It seems that there’s a Freudian slip in that sentence. By saying “before anyone else” you’re admitting that “all those things” will happen. Thank you.

PS: Your Ad Hominem is not a respond to what I said. It’s just a way to dodge the question.

How about Julia Gilliard’s “carbon cops” in Australia? As American schoolchildren are brainwashed by the “Green Mafia,” I can only hope that they do not start reporting their parents to the authorities for green infractions.

Take your meds. All of you. You’re suffering from mass psychosis.

They get a rush and sense of power by making people tow the line, feel superior by pretending to be better than everybody else, and have a cause that is above all others—saving the planet—so they are doing all of this for your own good whether you like it or not. How condescending and dismissive can one bee?

  10. mephistostrapazoid says:

CS Lewis wrote the following about do gooders every where. He wrote it first about seventy years ago. It applies to the left perfectly today…….

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
    C. S. Lewis
    English essayist & juvenile novelist (1898 – 1963)

  11. Kevin says:

Has anyone else noticed that in what must be thousands of web sites and blogs from the alarmists, we get incessant defense of research surrounding the “consensus” (a total waste of time – considering a PROOF posited = no opinions required) – and only minimal treatment of what they really wanted if they had facts instead of theory.

Where are the web sites that outline (in very specific terms) EVERYTHING that the warmists want to see happen to save the planet? No hints. The whole tamale. None of the “we need to be moving towards” or “thinking about” – lets hear the real goals. Lets hear some serious analysis of what societys around the planet would have to do to keep CO2 below the deadly number.

I really don’t think they can make it happen because any serious effort to do so would illuminate the insanity of it and expose the true underlying goal – control.
